re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I had no idea Bryan Cranston was in That Thing You Do. Tiny role... The extended edition also added small roles by Howie Long and Colin Hanks...
Great flick. OK what should I watch next? I need to keep it goin!

Does anyone have a 2012 Sideshow calendar (sealed preferred) they want to get rid of? Mine got messed up. :(

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

They can't really get you on that can they?... how could he prove you were texting? Maybe you were dialing a phone #?... or just checking the time on your phone...

I believe the cop has to show up to the court date as well... if he doesn't show (which a lot of times they don't) it should get tossed out and you won't owe anything.

I didn't have the energy to fight the guy. I was already having a crappy day and probably would have ended up in the back of the cop car if I even tried to dispute it.

And as to the cop being at the hearing, it's a myth. They don't have to be there and all the past times I've had to go, the cop was never there.

That's a movie I can watch any time of any day. It's just soooo good. Same thing with Rock Star. I'm a music junkie so it's the best of both worlds.

Not a myth, I have two friends that are police officers. It might be at the judge's discretion then, but I know here it sometimes gets dropped if the cop doesn't show. My friend goes to every court appearance and makes sure not to miss it cause as he says, he doesn't give the ticket for the guy to get out of it... if he went to the trouble to give the guy a ticket it was for a good reason (he hates giving them) and he makes sure the guy doesn't get out of it so he goes to every court appearance.

Mia Sara was so yummy back then...
HOLY ****! Mia Sara is married to Brian Henson!!!

That dude is ****ing lucky. His father was one of the greatest entertainers of all time and he's got one of the hottest wives of all time. :bow

Interesting, maybe it's a state by state thing. I've asked people I know and even a lawyer one time who was defending me and he said it didn't matter.

Probably state by state because I can personally attest to having to show for court proceedings. When I wasn't there, and it was often, it would be dimsissed. This is usually for smaller charges such as traffic or small city violations.

You grew up? :dunno
Kenbenobi :thwak Furystorm

My favorites...

Alien
Alien3
Zodiac
Jaws
The Shining
Eat Pray Love
When Harry Met Sally
Eyes Wide Shut
Blade Runner

Does that help? ;)
Nope. I'm looking for movies I haven't seen but own. I've seen all of those except for Eat Pray Love, but I don't own it... Thanks for the suggestions though.

My little cousin played Mark Wahlberg's son in Rock Star. He didn't have any lines, but he had decent screen time. Empire Records is another good music movie. It's different of course since there is no band involved. But they play a lot of music, and sing some songs, and lip sync to others. I have the soundtrack somewhere. Renee Zelwegger sang a song in the movie, but they didn't include that version on the soundtrack. I was pissed about that.

I shook his hand a few years ago. I shook the hand that fingered Mia Sara and fisted a Muppet! :lecture

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

You never know. He may have fisted Mia and fingered a Muppet.
Good point! He also could have fingered her while she was fisting a Muppet, and vice versa...
Wait, I don't mean she was fisting him. But a Muppet may have... :dunno

Any vintage left after everyone put their hands in the hunnipot?

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Looking for 200 for Kevin shipped and 360 for bike shipped. Open to offers though.

Not bad prices, I'm going to pass though. I'm still kicking myself for not buying a Flynn for $100 when I had the chance.
