So which poster is first bro>?
DAYYUM! I really need to find my OT posters! I have MANY, all rolled, somewhere in my basement... No original SW release though. But I have ESB, ROTJ, and SW re-release posters, including some foreign ones...C8/C9 linen-backed posters for SW and ESB run about $1100 each. Throw in good framing and they come close to $1500 each. An unused, rolled ROTJ can run around $500. I don't have anything on order at the moment and I've been selling stuff like crazy, so I've definitely got these on my radar.
I am VERY jealous. I really need to acquire a full set of vintage myself, but I know it is time consuming and costly. First, I need to find the figures I already own, so I don't double-dip and buy duplicates.I have a full set of the figures in C8/C9 condition, so now I've started looking for the cardbacks. This is the poor man's way to collect carded figures.

I have no idea what "linen-backed" means. The posters were printed on bed sheets?
I feel I NEED that book!
A Linen Backed poster is a poster that is archivally mounted to acid free paper and canvas where it can be restored if needed. Fold lines and other defects become less noticeable, sometimes even invisible. It can be rolled for shipping and is ready for framing. Linen backing can dramatically improve the overall appearance of a poster and it can substantially increase its value. It is the preferred archival method for conserving and/or restoring a poster. Almost any flaw can be fixed so you would never know it was there.
MINE!!!I feel I NEED that book!
Thanks for the explanation. Very cool... I take it the linen backing process is expensive... Once I find my vintage posters, I'll have to decide what to do with them. Hopefully they are still in good condition.A Linen Backed poster is a poster that is archivally mounted to acid free paper and canvas where it can be restored if needed. I never voted once, but I am happy that my favorite character won!!! YAY YODA!!!Yoda? Damn... Hard for me to even fathom. He's more a top 5 or 10 character to me, but certainly not No. 1.

Interesting... sounds like this is an irreversible method? Is there any concern that later on this method may fall out of fashion and actually lead to a lower valued item?
I'm not sure that there's much difference between a poster like that and, say, vintage comics, which I've spent thousands on over time but I just can't get it out of my head that it's nothing more than an old piece of paper. I mean, prints can be bought for just a couple bucks.... Not to sound negative, Richard, as I do understand the lure of it.

He beat out Vader?! That's just.. I can't even...
I took it as a popularity contest. I guess I just figured Vader was a slam dunk? Still, Yoda is, IMO, one of the top three most iconic SW characters, along with Vader and R2, so it's not shocking (hope I didn't make it sound that way). I'm just a little amazed that he beat out Vader.
Badger!!!!
I'm on season 4 episode 7 now, Zach!
I met him in a swamp down in dagobah
Where it bubbles all the time like a giant carbonated soda
S O D A, soda
I saw the little runt sitting there on a log
I asked him his name and in a raspy voice he said, "Yoda"
Y O D A, Yoda
Yo-yo-yo-yo Yoda
