re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

A Linen Backed poster is a poster that is archivally mounted to acid free paper and canvas where it can be restored if needed. Fold lines and other defects become less noticeable, sometimes even invisible. It can be rolled for shipping and is ready for framing. Linen backing can dramatically improve the overall appearance of a poster and it can substantially increase its value. It is the preferred archival method for conserving and/or restoring a poster. Almost any flaw can be fixed so you would never know it was there.

I liked Hayden in Ep 3 but thought he was annoying in Ep 2. Though to be fair I think Luke is pretty close to the same in Ep 1 as Anakin was in Ep 2.

Typical Ring Bearer ! :slap

But Hamill had scenes where he showed he could act. I don't think Hayden acted at all in Ep 2. He was better in Ep 3, but it was too late. I already hated him by that point...

I don't totally disagree with that. I think Hayden in Ep 2 was pretty darn annoying. So I can understand many washing their hands of him by the time 3 started.

Better actor. Hayden kinda sucked. But then again, so did Jake Lloyd. Anakin was mis-cast both times... Whiny little *****es...

You hit the nail on the head for me. The portrayal of Anakin completely ruined the OT for me. As a kid I grew up to fear menacing Vader and felt for him at the end of Jedi. The OT made him look like a whiny little punk. I felt nothing for the character but disgust.

^^ Although Anakin ruined the prequels for me, I'm still glad they exist. Obviously they weren't as good as ANY of the OT films, but it was still enough to make me happy that Star Wars was back. Each movie had some great moments which totally made the film enjoyable. And some characters were awesome (Ian McDiarmid is f'ing BRILLIANT, and Ewan McGregor was decent as Obi-Wan). Sure, I would have rather seen 7,8,9 instead of 1,2,3 but now we'll finally get that opportunity. Hopefully it will be closer to the magic of the OT, versus the inadequacies of the prequels, but I'll gladly take Star Wars in any form I can get it.

Hi, my name is Ken Benobi, and I am a Star Wars addict!

I took it as a popularity contest. I guess I just figured Vader was a slam dunk? Still, Yoda is, IMO, one of the top three most iconic SW characters, along with Vader and R2, so it's not shocking (hope I didn't make it sound that way). I'm just a little amazed that he beat out Vader.
I like Yoda as much as the next Muppet fan, but 3rd most iconic? Over Luke and Han and Leia and Storm Trooper?

Yeah, the PT does add quite a bit to SW and have their moments so I'm glad they exist. Not to mention it really helped to return SW to the top of the merchandising heap. I remember clearly the complete absense of cool Star Wars toys after the kenner figures dried up in the 80's... so much so that I was almost tempted to buy some of those fugly bendy figures that came out a few years before the POTF2 stuff :lol

However, with the PT I really just wish it had been better. Just the fanedits show how a bit of editing can improve the watchability (especially to Ep2) imagine if the source material had been better.

As for the whinyness of Luke and Anakin. Luke was definitely whiny, but he quickly nutted-up and after that was solid. Anakin was not only whiny, but also came off as a ******. And even though he was less angsty in Ep3; he was still whiny and a ******. Lucas never really make him a likable character; so when he turned to the darkside it didn't really seem like a stretch. Whereas if Luke had turned at the end of ROTJ my head would have exploded :lol

Yeah, and honestly, Anakin was way more whiny than Luke. Luke just wanted to leave home, and sure, he complained about it. Once that happened, he didn't keep harping on about how unhappy he was about everything all the time. Seems like that's all Anakin really did. That, and act creepy toward Padme. . .and kill defenseless children.

Yoda was a bad-a$$ Jedi! I'd put him over Leia and a Stormtrooper ANY day! Luke or Han? I could see it. Not me, personally, but I wouldn't argue those characters.
