re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Man, I got borderline high cholesterol. They did the blood diagnosis test at work today. I guess I'll have to start exercising and moderating my burger intake. At least my blood glucose and blood pressure were good. Lamers.

I had slightly high numbers last year when I did a biometric screening at work. I'm proud to say this year my numbers were normal. :rock

I'm afraid to get mine checked but I've neglected it for years. Once my new insurance kicks in I'm going to get a full checkup. My real concern is my blood sugar. I was diagnosed with Hypoglycemia about 10 years ago and I don't really take care of myself so I'm afraid it's diabetes by now.

My work gives my a $600 health insurance premium discount if I do it. Otherwise, I wouldn't have even bothered.

Did you fast first? If not, then it was likely a false positive. That happened to me once. If you don't fast, it is easy to show symptoms of high cholesterol. We get the health premium discount for doing those stupid tests, too.

I actually didn't fast before, so I guess it's possible that it was a false positive. I have packed on quite a few pounds over the last few years though, so I probably should start to moderate my diet and start exercising regularly anyway.

Look into the slow carb diet, Ben. I've lost 17 pounds this year on that diet and walking 1.5-2 miles 6 days a week on a treadmill. My wife know someone who lost about 60 pounds last year.

I need to walk more. Now that summer is approaching, I won't have an excuse (seeing as I don't own a treadmill, and dont really have room for one). I lost 26 pounds last year in just two months, but then gained 20 back over the winter. So this year I lost 26 again (pure coincidence), but have recently started gaining a few back. I'm terrible when I quit a diet. I pig out on the things I've been missing. :( But, I plan on losing more. The diet will start again very soon!!! I swear! :lecture

You're at the age where you can no longer eat whatever you want, Ben. It sucks but the sooner you start taking better care of yourself the better.

You were so good on vacation Ken! :(

I've gotta get started losing weight. It's making me tired all the time.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

My mentor mentioned that in clinic yesterday too. I might be downgrading it's impact on me. I mean I've been pulling this double and triple duty for what feels like years. At least four anyway. School, work, puppies, etc. But I don't even have any children, and havn't worked for the past two months. Well, yeah, clinic two or three days a week. And I know most weekends get blown out to studying for exams every Monday. But only two more exams. And only 19 days to the board exam!!!!!!!!!

I'm just saying, I shouldn't be, but I am, exhausted. :(

I'm not sure that would be a good idea, for me. I'd be very concerned with keeping it in good condition. I'm just taking a duffel bag with me on the train. No luggage. Nothing to protect it. I'm slumming it this trip. When I go to CEII, I'll be prepared for anything, and will have sturdy tubes for potentially scoring you and furystorm that Trevas poster. But I don't think anything I buy at C2E2 is going to stay in good condition. Last year I didn't even spend the night, and everything I bought arrived home with damage. But I didn't really care much, since I planned on opening everything.

I understand. I have been a fan of James Cosmo for years and I don't see him doing appearances too often so I had to ask :)

Rolled C9 Raiders poster is tempting me right now. :panic:

Must. Remain. Strong.

Doh ! First things first Brother Waller !
