Wow! I vaguely remember that. If I had a dollar for every collectible I've ever owned, I'd probably have $1,000. :lol

It's sad how much I've bought and sold over the years. :slap

There was a time when I'd gone back to school and worked a waitering job almost full-time simultaneously. One night at 11pm I had to study for a morning exam and chugged a Red Bull...I woke up the next morning with my books in my lap, having fallen asleep sitting in my chair. Red Bull didn't give me anything.

UT, looks like Medicom is making some Frozen 1/6 figures.

Any long-time collectors here notice that newer doesn't always = better?

On the surface that's an obvious statement, but you would think that where 1/6 is concerned there would be a steady climb in accuracy, quality and engineering; but when the economics of manufacturing and marketing enter the equation it becomes clear that it's not a simple linear progression.

Hot Toys stormtroopers are objectively the best ever made when taking all factors into account, but it's fair to say Marmit is more accurate.

Hot Toys Iron Man Mark III Diecast is beautiful but their design and engineering decisions leave a lot to be desired. In spite of the ever present threat of pink panties (y'all have fun with that one) the Mark IV from years ago is arguably a better figure.

In spite of all the choice in the current market, these releases - even within a given company's specific line - appear to be all over the place.

Well considering QMX's Malcolm Reynolds from Firefly, SSC's Nathan Drake and HT Commando Arnie... I'd day they all same bs companies who have qc issues with production. Now if we could get manufacturing back in America I'm pretty sure every person on this board would be happy to inject mold a new Vader or Iron Man.
