re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I like it, but I wish it would have been about all three movies and not just the first one. I have the most vivid memories about the ESB cards. I even sent away for the little slip cover boxes to store the cards in.

Same. My friends down the street were collecting them too, along with plenty of other kids although I don't remember them as well as my neighbours. We'd trade cards back and forth when we got new packs.

The "Boba Fett And IG-88" card was a hot item, even in the summer of 1980.

Wait, what RMQ statue???
I decide I'm gonna get a new car next year. Should I get a Miata? Then I can drive around in front of you, rubbing it in. That would be delightful.

I think fury's safe from your taunting... you couldn't fit in a Miata....

And you think they won't eventually make the other movie card sets into books?... of course they will. :D

Looks like there are a lot of Topps books on Amazon one of which is a Mars Attacks. I'll be buying that one for sure, I've always wanted a set of the cards but no way could I afford the actual ones.

My Ex's Uncle owned the rights to Mars Attacks Topps cards at one point... they never did anything with it though.

That's a damn shame. Topps did a reissue set a few years ago that was gorgeous looking as sold quite well.

Harry Potter dolls bring in bigtime hamburger money.

There's a pretty strict weight limit on passengers in the Miata...
