Exactly. Take lots of pictures and make insurance mandatory.

Is that your place, Aliaz?? Very nice!

My parents summer house, in the middle of the woods so really quiet and relaxing. Since my parents are on holiday we have free access to both that house and their other house with a pool :) so we are pretty much spending one day either in the forest relaxing, at the other house in the pool or at my GF mothers house close to the beach. Can't complain. :)

That looks amazing.... here in California that would be a multi-million dollar property.

It's a great place, and the reason that they bought it is that both my dad and us kids pretty much spent all our summers as children in a small cabin nearby.

It was relatively cheap (houses are always expensive, but it wasn't in great condition) and my dad loves that he can basically build whatever he wants on the property since its so far away from any kind of zoning plans. When my parents bought it the plumbing was pretty crappy, couldn't drink the water and it had a bit of that old house smell, it was pretty hard to spend more than a few days there because of that. Now that we fully refurbished it it's a great place to stay. And it's still only a 30 min drive from the town we live in.

Are those your feet, Aliaz? Really nice!

Haha thank you. :)

I'm paranoid about selling on Ebay.

UT, do you do pretty well on eBay? Have you ever been ripped off there? I'm wanting to start selling but I've never sold anything over $50. I'm nervous to say that least. :lol

I have had little to no issues with eBay either. I have sold PFs and stuff like that. One person claimed a diorama came damaged, when I pushed for more evidence of the damage he suddenly went away. I take pictures of the item as I box it back up showing it was packed correctly and no damage existed when packing it. I also always insure the items. I have used insurance twice due to the delivery company just destroying the box and the item. Had no issues with the claim and came out losing no money.
I'm surprised to hear the fear of eBay on here, though admittedly most of my purchases and sales are on a much smaller scale than a PF or 1:1 prop or bust, though I have sold several items in the hundreds during the last ten years.

I've had probably 1,500 transactions as a buyer and seller. My one bad transaction went something like mfoga's above. Lots of back and forth asking for pictures of the damage from the buyer (apparently every camera phone in the house was broken). He kept asking for a ridiculous discount, etc. ($50 off a $100 sale or so) so I just insisted on a return for a full refund. Finally after weeks of pulling teeth and sending a pre-paid return label, etc. I got the items back. The items were all carded Star Wars Vintage Collection figures and most had equal value loose or in some cases the cards were in fine enough shape to sell again at a similar price.

As every else said, take lots of pics, user insurance on everything over $50, mention any minor issues or damage in the description and photos, and it won't come back to haunt you. With many of the items I sell or buy in many cases, dealing with all the fees and then having to pay for return shipping on top of it all would kill the whole sale.

Will Star Wars be forgotten by all someday? Hard to imagine now but for a good 10-15 years it was way in the back of my mind, a relic from the past I seldom thought about. Although it must have blipped through my daily life every now and then.

Same here. That's why I'm trying to decide if I want to continue. :gah:

If they keep making the covers I'm going to have to :lol

I've got the first issues of Lando, Leia and Vader but didn't get any more of them because they didn't have the cover (even though I've heard good things about Vader) I'll probably sit and read them in one lump, see if I like them. If so then I'll continue past them but if not when the covers stop I will.

Gonna leave this here...

Hmmm....According to Google that's Emily Addison. Here's a Cantina themed image.
