To accept refuse to try anything that may or may not possibly incite a change is to embrace the misery and that is sadomasachistic. Only you can make the change, not the things around or what you have gone through. You must find the path to a better day, but better yet, you must want to walk it !
I don't really think I need it.
The truth is that for whatever reason, it seems like I've just gone through a lot of really horrible stuff in my life and most of those things are basically the worst possible events I could ever imagine experiencing that have come into reality. I think almost anybody that has had to deal with the tragedy I've face would probably have a more pessimistic viewpoint than others and feel down at times. Now, when someone I care about betrays me or treats me badly, it hits me a bit harder and it's more difficult to let it roll off my shoulders than before. I think that's just a part of who I am now. I don't think congnitive behavioral therapy or interpersonal therapy is going to help any of that.
I'm not trying to be a bummer or anything, but that's just how I see it.
