Well the year is of to a horrible start, spent about 12 hours in the hospital sofar today since my gf has horrible pain in her stomach and they can't find anything wrong with her. Even the CT didn't show anything. So they are keeping her until tomorrow and I have to go home and worry. It sucks!

Hope everything goes ok for your girl.

Good use of emoticons! :lol

Might not be necessary now... see down below. :)

Appendicitis perhaps? I hope she's feeling better today...

I bought a new car today... Toyota RAV4. Jan talked me into it. I'd do anything for her!
They talked me into getting the extended bumper to bumper warranty, but I severely talked them down. It started as $3500 for 6 years/75,000 miles. Then they went to $1810. Then they made it 7 years/100,000 miles. Then they added another year. Then I sweet-talked em down to $1500 for 8 years/100,000 miles. I think that will be worth it. All I need is one big repair in 8 years to justify it... Other than that, today has been a crappy day... I'm kinda depressed at the moment...

Congratulations on the new car and your wheeling and dealing, Kenben. Sorry about the depression. I know how that can be.

I guess I'll be the only one taking the train to Chicago now, unless maybe if a certain Kenben wants to pick me up on his way down there. I actually messed up and thought it was the 15th, not the 8th. I sent an updated time off request on Wednesday. Hopefully, I'll get the time off.

I saw Star Wars today.

What's the verdict?

I loved it. Exactly how much I won't know until I see it some more.

I was hoping since the first trailer that Rey would play the role she did. Immensely satisfied. Can't wait for VIII.

My brother and my sister. My youngest sister had to work, but the three of us who went were the OG pint-sized Han, Luke and Leia. It was cool. I'm glad I waited for them, even if I did get one major plot point spoiled for me about a week ago.

Maybe it's this one

Another long day at the hospital. The doctors haven't found what is causing her pain yet, but they've ruled out pretty much all of the worst things it could be. They will probably do a endoscopy tomorrow to check the inside of her stomach since that is the only thing they haven't checked. Probably something to do with her stomach acid. Atleast the doctor and the nurses are great and caring. Makes me really grateful for our health care system.

Thanks again for you well wishes guys!

Question for my Cantina buds who have seen TFA in 3D - is it worth it. Going to the IMAX this weekend, should I go the 3D route or no?

I think the 3D was good but not mind-blowing. The first time I would go 3D, especially on IMAX.

I saw it in IMAX 3D. Quite good, but as Aliaz said, not mind-blowing. I don't usually like 3D but didn't have a choice for Dec. 17.

Ah, back to work after being off for 16 days and now back to the Cantina as well

Anyone see any good movies lately? :lol

And on display in it's new home with the other movie items including the Masked head prop.

Dude, that's pretty awesome. I think it's in the right collectors home :rock

I had to rewatch SW right after my first viewing, the **** theater in my town ****ed up both the picture and sound. So while watching the movie for the first time it was like seeing a bootleg due to the poor quality. I could tell the movie was good, but it didn't feel right. Anyway, I went back for a later showing with a friend in a different auditorium and it was great. I've seen it 4 times so far and have two viewings planned for Thursday.

I honestly prefer it in 2D so far; the 3D just doesn't do a lot for me and I think takes a bit away from the movie. I've seen it in 3D and 2D in a regular theater and IMAX 3D. I'd love to see it in IMAX 2D somewhere, but I don't think any theaters near me are playing it that way.

Stop copying me, I bought a Rav 4 first!!! :(
Did you really? I had no idea... Suddenly I feel rich! Mine is a 2016. Did you get a '15 or '16? Mine is Metallic Gray... I only got the LE though, and FWD. You probably went XLE and AWD.

That could be a possibility. But I think I'm spending the night, so I couldn't take you back. I really really want to avoid the tolls though, and most of the freeway hell. I was planning on taking 41 down. Is there a suitable place I could pick you up which isn't far from 41? I could swing by Gurnee Mills easily enough. I just take Stearns School Road from 41, and it goes right to the backside of Gurnee Mills. But the tricky part is you getting back home... Unless you have someone who can pick you up at the train station, and take you to get your car...

Glad they ruled out the worst stuff, but that's still very weird... I hope she has good insurance! Perhaps the health care coverage is good there...

IMAX is a must!!! I think the 3D is decent. There are some moments where it is VERY good! But the IMAX screen by itself is enough reason to do it... My IMAX theater does not offer a 2D option. All showings are in 3D...

IMAX is a must. If you can do IMAX 2D do it.
If you have to do 3D to get IMAX Do it !
This! :lecture

furystorm/Punk/Ben:
Gibby may actually join us! Perhaps not for the movie, but for dinner... I've been texting him. Do we know what theater we are going to yet, and the showtime? We need to start making concrete plans...

3D was meh, I didn't really notice much here with it. IMAX though was awesome. If you have 2D IMAX, that is how I would suggest it.

Insurance is not an issue over here. Our health care system is great and largely tax funded, the rest by the government and availible to all. For medical care at the ER and 2 days admitted to the hospital we will pay about $30. Basically you never pay more than about $125 for medical care or about $250 for prescription medicine in a 12 month period, the rest is covered by the government. I'm very grateful for this system, and realise that we are very lucky to have it.

She is now released from hospital, still has stomach pains but they have ruled out pretty much everything. Her regular doctor will take over and try to get to the bottom of it. Might be stress related. Atleast we know it's not anything dangerous.
