Pfft, after 20+ years of those SDCC blues that crap don't even bother me any more.

It's so big now I watch it all on Youtube.

Celebration is coming brother. It's our true reunion !

I had fun the one time I went to SDCC in 2011, but it was way too crowded. Lines everywhere for panels or free crap. No way to easily walk through and see the booths. Just a cluster.

I did feel a little bit of that at last year's Celebration, so I'm hoping that's not how they will all be now. I've heard the OCCC is way bigger than Anaheim, so I'm hoping that helps. I guess it depends on how much of the space in Orlando they actually rent.

Celebration didnt feel even close to SDCC. SDCC is a cluster. I stopped going because it was such a cluster. 2009 was the beginning of the end for me. I remember me and Swabie were trying to walk back from checking into our rooms at the Hilton and got there right as Twilight panel let out and it took forever to get through that mass of idiots. I think I went one or two years after that but that was the beginning of the end for sure. The highlight for me started to be let me see how big of d**k I could be. I would purposely walk into the people who were walking and looking the other way. I would disconnect the battery of the those fat people scooters if they were being aholes and running people over.

I think my last SDCC was 2011. I went every year but 2002 (due to appendicitis the week before SDCC) from 1998 to 2011. I truly do miss it, HOWEVER it was becoming too overcrowded. Even during my last year, you could get in line for Hall H at like 8am, and spend the entire day there, without much of an issue. Now apparently you have to camp overnight, or you won't get in. That's ridiculous.

I remember my early years. I could plan to go from Hall H to Room 20 to 6CDEF to Hall H to Room 20. I'd have no problem going panel to panel to panel, in different rooms. And if celebrities were in Exhibit Hall booths signing, you could easily get their autographs, even the FREE ones, with just a minimal or no wait in line. Now you'd be lucky to get Screech's autograph from Saved By the Bell, if you're willing to wait at least an hour.

Although I really do want to go again, I doubt it will happen, unless they move to Las Vegas. That is the ONLY location I can think of which is big enough to handle the size, since Vegas has basically unlimited space (the convention center + MANY hotels). I know SDCC considered moving to Vegas in the past, then signed an extension with San Diego. Personally, I hope it moves. It has outgrown San Diego... I should probably just plan on going to Wondercon instead. fury and I had a great time there, and I know he's gone back every year since. fury, count me in next year! I think I'm gonna go, depending on the dates - not if it's too close to Celebration).

Also, I think I will skip the next Celebration Europe, unless they go somewhere REALLY good. I won't go to France, and probably not back to Germany or London. I'm all in for Spain though...

Um, you do realize you yourself have been to Celebrations in both Orlando and Anaheim, right? Or have you forgotten? Old Man Waller needs some meds, me thinks. His Alzheimer's is kicking in again...

Some of the crowds could now be due to the new movies. When I started going, it seemed so easy to get around and you could get into any panel.

Hey, you don't talk to Waller like that! It's not nice to pick on people who won't remember it.

You must not want a good price on the McQuarrie busts.

Ken, WonderCon is too close to Celebration next year. It's either the week before or two weeks before. I'm not going. Also, I don't think I actually went to WC after going with you until this year again. This year, I really enjoyed it being just the weekend for me. It was nice being downtown again too. Next year it's back in Anaheim. So we went after CVI, which means we went in 2013, so I didn't go again until 2016. Three years later. Just saying. I'm always down too hang at another con with you though! Lemme see those dates for you....

WC 2017 is March 31 - April 2, just way too close to....
CVIII being April 13-16

;)

I remember, we were kinda scouting the Anaheim convention center for the rest of the freaks, because we knew Celebration was going to go there! :rotfl

Quiet, all of you!!! They're heading toward the Tyrannosaur paddock.

:rotfl:p

I don't love conventions as much as I used to. Too crowded and hard to see what you want to see most of the time.

Want them Hot Toys, though, bros.
