Long story if you want to read about a typical day for me.

So many of you know I'm in the Army, Security field and all that hooah S#$% :lol. Well tonight I'm guarding none other than the public Library, which is designated a safe spot for anyone in need of help. I showed up around 7pm to my partners talking to a lady on the edge of the property. She had been beaten by her husband and kept from society for a while. No phone, no job, nothing. You know how those things go. So fast forward to 8ish, she had received help and was in safe hands. My partner Gary on the first floor radioed me that the husband was on the property looking for his wife (she is long gone). Once I got down there he jogged to his car (Silver Ford Taurus) and circled the parking lot and left. The staff is all females and now frightened. We know this guy to be a convicted felon etc. and one of the employees asked him if he needed help and he had a dead like stare at her ( we knew he was on some crazy drugs). So every 10 minutes after that he would circle the parking lot, stare into the entrance and leave. At this point I know I need to make sure everyone gets to their cars when we close at 9 and safely off the property. At 850 I head outside with Gary and sit on the Cement ball decoration. At 857 a pair of headlights pull in to my left (the top of the #6 shaped parking lot), the headlights turn left into the circle heading to the back(at which point we know it's a silver Ford Taurus), cuts across the middle and in between the islands turning right which leaves the car pointing at us. The headlights are in my eyes. Gary asked me if i'm ready and I reply with "yea, just stay safe." the car shuts off and the door opens. At this point in time I realize I have no protection ( I carry a handgun at almost all sites but this one). My heart is beating and I wonder what is the next play. The door shuts and the headlights turn off. It wasn't him. Just a man dropping his books off in the return box. Now I know as a reader this isn't the ending you wanted to hear but for me it was everything. How easily it could've been him (A man capable of anything with his state of mind) and then who's life changes at that point. I'm not superstitious but I think the world was telling me something with that Ford Taurus. What happened in the world to change the odds of all that. Timing, suspicious driving at closing time, Silver Ford Taurus, parks with headlights in my eyes.... It was like the butterfly effect. What was it that made that man not him. It was like a scene right out of a suspense movie. Look at your family tonight Freaks and just thank them for existing because that's what I took and learned from all this.

May the force be with you...Always. :duff
