Drinking on a good beer. Dead Guy Ale Rogue. Great beer! Goes well with some Bill Murr.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Josh, that book is amazing! Really impressive :rock

Drive Angry was shot in 3D and looks AMAZING! For a non-animated flick, that is probably the best 3D I've seen. I hate conversions too. That doesn't mean I won't see em, cuz I'm a sucker, but in general I hate it. I actually saw The Great Gatsby the other day, SOLELY because it was shot in 3D. The 3D was decent, but damn that movie sucked. :gah:

I'm the same way... if it's native 3D I'll be down, but anymore I'd much prefer to pay less and just watch the movie in 2D rather than see a converted one.

Today, I've got blus of Seasons 1&2 of the Clone Wars up for sale.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

It looks like it would be hard to top... I was just looking at the thread about it. $500 is not too bad for something as cool as that.

So is it a continuous story? And what sort of reference was used to make it?

Man, look at that a$$,,,

I like that she's not one of those waifs ... she has real curves.

Hey duderinos. Not posting this in the movies section so it can get NotChrisNolaned by the herd but here's a movie opening this summer written by my friend Chris. Red band, so it's got potty mouth.

Saw this a few weeks ago. I have to say I am looking forward to seeing it.

Yeah, I can't imagine getting something much cooler. No, its not bad at all for something like this. It really does feel that its been pulled from that world and placed in my collection.

The first part of it is told as Bilbo retells The Hobbit through his own eyes and then The Lord of the Rings is told through Frodo. The stuff after is done by Sam with languages, family trees, etc. All of them are done in the handwriting of each character. Several members of a board called Lord of the Rings Guide gathered details of what was written in the book. They got this information from screen caps, information in the appendicies, other books by Tolkien, etc. I'll link to the thread if you want to read some of what they did. Its as accurate of a prop for what is in The Red Book as I think we'll ever see.

Here's the craigslist post. I guess it's in the Bellingham area? Wherever that is.

He does look really cool. I like him a lot, but he is very pricey. I'll probably still get him anyway.

That's way up in Humboldt county, about 4 hours north of me. Sorry, Ben. I have no plans to get up in that area anytime soon.

And yeah, you'll buy it. It's Darth frickin' Vader!!

I talked about this a little while back so I wanted to also share this here.

Got my book today (it came with a surprise) and I also got my scroll.

Now that is one impressive collectable, Josh! Love it!

I hate 3D... I just wish it would die at this point.

Today, I've got blus of Seasons 1&2 of the Clone Wars up for sale.

I have no clue what's going on in that thread, Fury... I guess I just bid on something?

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

3d movies are sooooooo 80's.............:nana:

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

No prob, Josh!

You watch the Hobbit lately? My brother borrowed my copy and I want it back!! When is the EE release date?

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I heard from GrueSam that the reason the films are so long in the theater is because they are the extended versions already. I was like, what! I'm holding out on buying An Unexpected Journey, because I don't want to double and triple dip any more.

But, if anyone would know, it would be her. And Josh. :lecture

I'm guessing sometime in Nov, right before Smaug hits theaters. That's how they did it with LOTR. I'm waiting to see what's in that version before I buy a copy of The Hobbit.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

Wow, this thread just went into a dark deep place. :monkey3

So...how bout that new Vader 1/6. Sure looks good...:monkey1

But is it $250 good? At least with the HT Bespin Luke we got 2 figures and a weather vane. I think I have to pass on $250. I got the first Vader. Good enough for me...
