re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

When I had money Medicom Young Indy figures were stupidly expensive. Now that I don't have money they're cheap.

:gah: WTF?!?!

Don't worry. They'll probably stay cheap when you have money again.

It's strange, they were dirt cheap for years then disappeared. I started looking last year and they were a minimum of $300. I just checked today and there are a few in the $130-170 range. It's just weird. I know it's not the best figure but it's the only figure so I have to have it. Plus I've been a big River Phoenix fan since I was a kid.

Medicom's got some good figures. I particularly like their anime styled stuff like the Chun-Li they did and the Link they have coming out. I think interest has gone down a bit on some of their older releases, so you can get them for pretty decent prices.

That figure can look damn nice with a bit of work and a new body. I regret not getting one.

Yeah, I've seen some really nice repaints that do the sculpt justice. I'm not good with customizing though.

I hope that they've improved their figures over time. Every RAH figure I've had has broke it's wrist pegs, arms or legs in less than a few poses.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

I had some of the Marvel comic figures they did and I had no problems with them, but I have heard the horror stories. I haven't bought a Medicom toy in years.

They were giving them away free at the party we went to, I think?

No, they cost money at the 501st party. I just thought you didn't drink. It was later, after the freaks party, when we all stayed out past our bedtimes on Saturday night. You would only let me buy you a soda...

My movie Spider-man had both wrists break off in the arms. Then my comic Venom had 1 hand break and then a leg broke.

I hated comic Venom because he was shorter than Spidey.

It's weird, that figure is the only Indy figure I tried to get. But I ordered it from some place in China and I had to fight to get my money back after it never shipped. Last time I did a pre-order on eBay. I learned my lesson.

I'm a big River fan too. :bow

I think River's body was alright. Oh... :(

You guys were busy today. :panic:

Waller, how hot was the waitress last night? Man....

Oh, man! I'm still thinking about her. :monkey3

Looks great! :clap

This might come as a bit of a shock bit when speaking to Waller last night I started to get the impression that neither of us liked the prequel trilogy. Weird, eh?

:lol

He drank one of the beers Swabie bought.

I really wish I had one of those Crumb puppets.

Yeah, no doubt! Really gorgeous face, amazing skin, and not even slacks and a button up shirt could hide the goods she had underneath. Definitely one of the best looking women I've seen in quite some time.

Maybe she's fishing for a rich husband?

Ah, to be in my 20s again.

She's in the right place if that's the case. :lol

I love the aquarium. One of my favorite places to go to in Chicago. I didn't think they could keep great white sharks in captivity. From what I've read, they always die pretty quickly.

re: (galactiboy's Cantina) "Where everybody knows your name..."

How was the aquarium, Waller??? Did they reopen that massive tank? It's the one they've kept great whites in.

It was a huge place! A lot bigger than I expected. Long drive because our iPhone map sent us way fairer their south into the mountains. :slap

Just made for a nice distraction. :lol Here I am meeting some folks for the first time, trying to break the ice, etc, but my eyes must have popped out of my head when she walked up to take our order. :lol Very sexy. :lecture

We were probably a sight to see. Two guys sitting with their families trying not to ogle the waitress. :lol
