I dont understand it man. How can you go from appreciating the detail and complexity of a 1:8 Amalgam or CM batmobile.....to being happy with this bust?

You can even see the overspray all over the base in your pics. Just like mine had. The guy couldnt even paint "flat black" properly, theirs little black dots all over the base followed by shinny patches and then flat patches. Which is spatter that probably came from a dirty/uncleaned airbrush.

On the back of my bust their were small black dots on the armour....which came from the overspray on the base. Or possibly when they were painting the neck area black. Ether way, it was very cheap "rushed" work.

Im also surprised these things didnt blow off the table while they were being airbrushed. I will never get over how light this bust is. It just blows my mind how some people can spend almost $1000 on this and not be disturbed with how "little" material was used to make this bust.

My perspective on this bust or anything else is that if something is not right, I just go fix it.
And that is the case with my bust or my CM Batmobile.
They both have their imperfections, to others people may see it like if they spend alot of money on something it has to be 100% perfect, that is fine, nothing wrong with that at all.

Even with Amalgam cars, my friend runs a car shop and I often chill with him at his shop and he brings n a few Amalgam cars for other customers, I have seen Amalgam cars that arrived with imperfections and problems. I guess I just got lucky with my 2 Lamborghini.

But I see it as, it's hard to get everything 100% perfect on everything, especially with things that are hand made, hand painted or whatever.

If it is something I can fix, I will fix it, afterall I am an artist and to me it is rewarding when in my ability I can fix something from bad to good.

Repainting the black base is something very easy to do, so I did that myself. Color correcting the jet exhaust nozzle and the side machinery and gas caps and yellow headlights of the Batmobile is something that can be easily done, so I did that myself.

Look great cain mkII:)..since its very light in weight..one ques ..what does it feel like it made out of, thin polystone or some sort of hard plastic?

I would say it feels more like hard plastic.
Weight doesn't matter for me as long as I have the ultimate replica of the movie prop.
That's what I paid for. :hi5:

Thank you thx217!
I hope more fans will be as pleased as I am about this incredible bust in a near futur.

Is it rotocast since it seems so light?

Almost positive it's rotocast.

probably he wants to cut cost or something.

I believe he wanted it to be as light for shipping.

You think there will be a difference between fred barton robocop & sideshow robocop since there been so many complaints??

The only difference will be packing materials. Sideshow's bust should come with traditional Sideshow styrofoam packing, whole Fred's bust was packed with packing peanuts, bubble wrap, cling wrap ...ect

Thank you thx217!

I'm with you CAIN. It's a great bust, alot of people will be happy...but it sucks for others who didn't have such great experiences.

I got a good one and then I enhanced it by getting the face repainted so it looks life-like.

The original paint on the face is flat with no tone, that's the only suck part of it.

So getting it repainted with realistic tone really brings life to my bust. As you can see obviously on my pics.

Mine was re-painted by Mike Najera. He repainted the face, the mouth, lips, & teeth
