That's actually better than I was expecting. Definitely a different vibe from the original.

Where's Peter Vincent though?

Meh, looks way too big and modern. Were CGI car crashes and explosions really neccessary. I also can't say im liking hosw the character of Amy seems to have been transformed from good girl to slut.

And where the hell was David Tennant? Isnt he supposed to be a main character?

I don't know what to say about this one. I feel like I saw the whole film in the trailer.

That's because you know the original. I'm sure there's a lot of people who haven't seen it.

I plan on seeing this. Love vampire movies!

Sorry but I don't see anyway they can top the original. Its one of the best vampire movies out there.

Interview with Chris S.

Going into FRIGHT NIGHT, what was the process for you in terms of approaching the ‘Jerry Dandridge’ character, how do you prepare?
Tom, from the very beginning was very insistent in our being very grounded in terms of the characters behavior and life as we could be. He asked us all to write out biographies for the characters, we did rehearsals. He approached it in such a serious way that it was very respectful to our process as actors. Because of that, we brought to the genre and film a real humanity to those characters."

Wonder if collin did any of that:rotfl
Anyways, i'm not gonna try to compare the two, cause there's no way it's gonna come close to the original. But if you're gonna do a remake, expect to be held to standards. And the casting choice of Collin as a sexy, seductive, and cool Jerry still makes zero sense.

Yeah, where's Peter Vincent? That was what was so great about the first one - the kid and his "hero" taking on the vampire together.

Yea, you can see Peter briefly in the trailer, but overall he was mostly absent.

I rewatched it, and briefly is an understatement. Even paying close attention looking especially for him, I still almost missed that shadowy millisecond long shot. Seems like you'd want to play up the fact that you've got Doctor Who in there to get the fanboys (and fangirls) excited.

I guess not when most of the time in this film Doctor Who will be dressed like Rob Zombie.
