I'm pretty sure SSC order policy is one discout option per order, be it reward points, GC, code, whatever you use, you can only use one per I believe.

For the record i think it's pitiful that SS has to offer these at a discount to get rid of them when they should be sold out already. They are easily two of the best SS figures to come out in a long time. And with the GC usage up for a while now they should be gone, i just don't understand. And i really don't buy into well i need the whole FS or nothing scenario, i mean some are like that but not all. Or the line is too slow etc. Even if these were the end of the line nobody is making better 1/6 LOTR figs ATM. Maybe i'm just used to the SW juggernaught, but these are better than ANY SS SW fig IMO even old ben. (clonobi/ben might rival but not top)

I still find it strange that I got my Hobbitses when they first went on second chance and there was only less than 100 left. They had the countdown meter up and everything, then all of sudden out of nowhere, they had a ton of them and I know quite a few people who have bought them since. Though I'm not accusing anyone of anything, I'm wondering if they made more than the 1500 exclusives. The regulars sold out long ago. Plus with all the specials and being able to use the GC with it, and now only $50, they're still not under 100! It just doesn't make sense to me!

Well, it took a phone call to SS to get it straightened out, but I ordered Sam using that code....turns out there was some tech issue with it, but it's fixed now for those who are interested....

Soon, Frodo will have some company on his trek.... :)

I'm about to break and get sam myself. But gonna wait a bit cause gandalf is first!(and those pics of clonobi are too good, may break down on him as well)

Thanks, Ringer!

Go for CW Kenobi, Krayt...you won't be disappointed. He's one of the best they've done.

Can't wait for Sam now that I've got him ordered. Hope the weather holds out up here so I can get some good outdoor shots. I do have some snow shots planned for them later in the year, but I still want to grab some of this great autumn light...

And yes Sean...you are correct...Sideshow only permits one discount use per order...found that out when i called to order Sam...asked why I wasn't getting the free shipping currently being offered on all in stock LOTR products and was set straight on that policy (politely of course)...

I got another 20$ card if someone wants to buy a hobbit with it pm me.

non ex.
You can get the hobbits now from Cornorstorecomics.com/amazingtoyz.com for 53$ shipped using code hurrah!

Someone is waiting for Gandalf to come show the way.

Frodo can now see the UPS truck. It's in the distance, but a flicker of brown renews hope for all as the Wizard approaches.

:wacky

Well, Sam arrived up here in the north at last. No time for outdoor stuff today, maybe over the weekend when Gandalf is here too...

Gotta say it....WOW! Once this little guy is out of the box, futzed with a bit and loaded with his gear, he stands out as a really fine figure. Dare I say...I almost like him more than Frodo....or at least as much.

If I had to name the one thing that jumps out on this figure, it's the outfit...it's elements, it's effective layering and the amazing quality in the tailoring. Sideshow's team effort really shines here...the great materials, the attention to detail (heck, the jacket's lined!) like the little piece of elastic on the shirt to help keep it tucked in place to mention one.

The sculpt is outstanding, the accessories well-rendered...a great job here.

My only issues with him are the new body is extremely fragile...while changing hands (a difficult task with this new wrist configuration), the arm literally came apart...nothing broken, but I had to take care in putting it back together, spot-gluing it to assure it would stay. Also, this is one of those figures where the joints are very loose, so holding poses is a bit of a challenge.

But those issues aside, he really looks great all set n' geared up.

If you've been hesitating on getting these hobbit figures and are a LOTR fan...wait no longer. Both Sam and Frodo are works of art...terrific figures.

After this recent one-two punch of superb LOTR figures, I'm eally looking forward to getting Gandalf, especially after seeing the great shots folks are posting of him...it may not be the whole fellowship, but it will be a great LOTR display...

Here's some quick shots of him on my desk...

Hey Craw, great pic of Sam in Moria mode! But can I ask how did you remove the large skillet from the cord on his pack? I wanted to try it with mine but I've already made Sam's scabbard break off his belt and didn't want to chance any more damages!

well you can either unknot the end of the string to get it off if you think you could tie it up again. i believe i just very carefully squeezed the knotted end of the string through the hole in the pan handle without undoing it.

Craw....you lied to us! You do too know how to use a camera! And quite well I might add! Really nice shots!

Here's a couple that I got of Sam and Frodo today...
