Jen, try calling CS and explain the situation... maybe they can work it out so that if your waitlist comes through you can transfer. Its at least worth a shot.

Very true....as Capt. said it was an somewhat honest mistake. And if they won't, oh well. I'm still going to stay on the waitlist for the exclusive and if it comes through, I'll sell the regular. :)

Ah, hope springs eternal in the land of LOTR :lol

I still say we'll be lucky to get these before May. Hope I'm wrong, but these 1/6 figures always have delays and take forever to come out.

Sometimes I can see big differences in the fan types; some franchises are always growing broader and wider with such a shocking increase in stuff that it gets tiresome and the fans get restless; Star Wars can do that, and while I will always love the movies beyond all reason, it can indeed be a chore to get what you want in the face of the vast commercialism of it. Lord of the Rings is different; rather than grow wider, my love grows deeper, and it's not centered in the stuff--it's in the story, in the scholarship, in the books themselves. The collectibles are really only reflections of Tokien's work, not an end in and of themselves. With a book there is infinite capacity for interpretation; I can draw a Frodo however I want to. In Star Wars, there is only one Luke Skywalker, and any imperfection will always be wrong. In that sense, we're more forgiving that other fans.

Though in truth, I think my eternal posts just bore people so they go to other, more exciting threads. If it works, it works. :D

I think as a whole SW fans are just big cry babies where as LOTR fans tend to be more down to earth. We just want to enjoy the magic that is LOTR and talk about what we like with a sense of Fellowship and what we don't like with a sense of the same.

you said it. ill drink to that. the problem with whiners though, is that they make the majority of fans who aren't whiners look bad.

Well, whatever the reason I always feel at home in the LOTR forum. It seems there is always a deeper sense of meaning and purpose here. And after all, where our hearts really lie is in peace.

Yeah, not much to complain about when you buy Faramir, Legolas, and Boromir for $30.00 bucks at Dragon Con. Lord of the Rings fans have done their fair share of complaining.
