Ya, that seems to be another step forward figure from them, and how could I forget Clone Wars Obi-Wan too. I'd say the Hobbits are Sideshow's best of the old style figures, the new body makes them a stepping stone from old to new, but Indy, Obi-Wan and Snake Eyes look to be the glimpses of the future.

I can't wait for some glimpses of the female kind.



Though I do have to wonder how far in the future.

They are still using the Bucks (both male and female).

Frodo and Sam just got here. At first look they look very nice. I haven't figured out how to put Frodo's scabbard on yet. Here's a few quick shots out of the box.

Well, I agree a lot of the SSC pictures are unflattering and don't truly represent the appearance of the figures, but SSC's stance on their photos is to cast thing in clear lighting to show all the fine details. I'm sure their photographer is perfectly capable, it's just a style choice they've made.

Sam having the doll dot really hurts him, his eyes lose some definition because of the extra light color in their.

I'll wait till I have them in-hand.
