i always think the MM series should be as movie accurate as possible. Scar and Celtic had way more weapons because hey had them in the movie, although I have to say I don't know why the celtic figure comes with the massive arm blades that only chopper should of had.
While they have given borg more stuf than he had in p2 such as the bio and skull, i feel if they kitted him out with too much tech he would no longer feel like a lost hunter and instead look more like a pred in the middle of a hunt.

I'm not so much concerned how many they release as long as they are kitted out properly with lots of weapons options.

The current Lost Predator looks barren. The Scar/Celtic were armed to the teeth. ( wrist gauntlet blade, shoulder cannon, forearm blades, shriuken, ankle sword, spear ) If the price point keeps creeping up, there's no excuse not to load up these guys on weapons.

Shoulder mounted mini missiles? Plasma Cannon Rifle? A battle ax?

GG

I cringe at the thought of a Predator with mini missles and a rifle....:monkey4

How about movie accuracy? This character didn't have wristblades in the film, and it remains to be seen whether the new armour incorporates a shoulder cannon.

Anyway, HT have already made a big effort on that count, lifting items from the other Predators to give Borg a decent loadout. He's got a bio-helmet, throwing disc and spear, none of which were his onscreen.

And RE the price point; EVERYTHING is going up these days, the 10% rise over 2 1/2 years since Scar / Celtic is just in line with general commodity prices. I don't regard it as a price hike per se, just inflation. Sad but true.

If Hot Toys is planing to make all of the lost hunters they need to slow down a lill...i cant buy them all if they keep coming out one after the other! So many things to buy...

I have no problem with including extra weapons, provided they can easily be separated - Celtic's arm blades being a case in point. You still have the choice to display the figure as film-accurate; in the case of Celtic / Chopper, their plasma cannons are a more glaring inaccuracy. Would have been nice if they were detatchable. I REALLY like the approach of the Lost Hunter, since it means the parts will be out there to eaily convert a Boar or Hippie Predator if you were so minded.

I suspect that the inclusion of the arm blades on Celtic was to provide a greater visual difference to Scar - when these were first released, any further Predators were presumably uncertain.

This guy should be next in my opinion

i doubt they will make anymore of these figures, but hey I might be wrong

Why do you say that?

It's all about sales at the end of the day.

HT did some REALLY obscure variants with the two AVP Ancient Predators - characters who were onscreen for seconds - yet these sold very well and are now highly sought-after. However, reworks of existing characters (the Battle Damaged Predator 2 and Cleaner Kit Wolf Predator) don't seem to have been as popular; the lesson would seem to be that customers will buy a new Predator character more readily than a second version of an existing one.

So, the Lost Hunters are a logical move - several different variants which to some degree use existing components. If the first one sells well, I will be astonished if we don't see at least one or two more.
