Thanks guys appreciate it!

King, I'm using buck hands... but I added a bit of magic sculpt to make them more Mumm-Raish.

That Monkian is cool. His nose looks a tad slanted, other than that the symmetry on your sculpts is sweet.

Actually noticed that when I put up the pictures... I plan to use a little magic sculpt to correct that, give Monkian a nosejob :lol

So far the botox has been working well for you. :lol

I hadn't noticed it first off. Only after I went back to have another look. The first thing that struck me was how symetrical it was. That in itself is a skill. It's great to see how you improve with each work GB. I'm so glad you took it up and haven't been scared of critique. It's a really enjoyable thread, and the characters you do are unique.

Well... just having too much fun to sleep tonight :lol Got the head painted and bandaged, I never imagined how hard bandaging a 1/6 head would be and I still have the body to go :google But I really like how he's turning out... I'm using craft ribbon that I dyed in a tea bath and after its on I used very watered down paints to make it look dirty.

And just to give you an idea of what he'll look like with the cape and hood:

Thanks again Chase for the inspiration :rock :rock :rock

I was checking in before I went to bed (tired tonight) and HAD to post that this is TERRIFIC!!! Perfect job GB! Perfect! Your skills are growing in leaps and bounds here! Amazing workmanship! Your excitement shows! Enjoy and keep on doing whatever it is you are doing! BRAVO! :clap

I don't even know who this dude is, and I want this figure!

Thanks again guys... well I've got him mostly "wrapped-up" :lol

Trying to bandage a full figure is one insane ass undertaking... and Les, I now have an even more respect for your Mummy figure, that thing is a work of art!

Doing some distressing to the wrappings and sometime tomorrow I'll be bugging the wife to break out the sewing machine. Hoping to learn how to do it... something like this shouldn't be too rough.

Great, can't wait to see your take on him! I don't think there are many custom 1/6 Thundercats figures. I tried doing a search and came up with zip.

You are a trend setter J! You can lay claim to being the 1st 1/6 Thundercats custom figure creator.

Man, I cant wait to see the full Mumm-Ra!

When do we get a Panthro?

Cool idea
Excellent execution
Great Result

Really really cool for Cats

Although as Cap Faramir has said on another thread - a lighter weave maybe beneficial in the hood dept.

Thanks Mooncat... actually the shot with the hood was just a stand in fabric I had laying around. The stuff I yesterday should look and hang fairly well... but good looking out :duff

:lol thanks King, maybe that will be my epitaph :lol I'm worried about Panthro... he'll be trick because of finding the right body. But I do have an ACE body coming that I plan to use for Monkian... maybe it would work for Panthro as well?

And just for fun... I found this figure (so not my work) on the internet... looks so good I thought it was 1/6, but is actually made from a Marvel Legends figure :google

And how badass would that be in1/6 :rock

Thanks bro :duff

I no longer have the kickass 80's shelf from our old place... so I have to improvise :lol

Yeah I imagine Panthro could and would be a total pain in the ass. The body would be very hard to duplicate.

As far as that Lion-O goes, I would buy that in a heart beat iif it were 1/6.

I wonder why Thundercats doesn't get more love?

I think it is a property that is so odd and totally 80's that its hard for people who didn't grow up with it to get their head around it. I mean scantly clad cat people running around is pretty out there :lol

But, I guess there's gonna be a movie (groan) so maybe that will kickstart the love for the property.

And I don't know if Panthro would be impossible... but I think It would require sculpting to a body since I don't think any stock ones would do him justice.

Thanks Coco... well here's some nearly finished shots. I'll start off with him just in his wraps:

Sheesh, you suck!!!"

Now I haven't distressed the robe at all... and after messing with him I think I'm gonna need to rough it up a bit. Also, after taking the pictures I noticed he has his robe draped very low over his shoulders... so I need to futz with that some more as well. But overall like the material and the robe looks.

Also, being so clean he almost has a little red riding hood thing going on.

that mumra looks great, keep up the good work. ive always wanted to try a lion-o but the clay i use doesn't work to well and kinda breaks easy (so sad for my sweeny figure).

That is freaking awesome, all your scuplts and figure are really cool original works. You really can work fast seems to me that everythime i visit your thread you got a new cool scuplt.
Have you thought about a bbi G3.5 body for Panthro ot Lion-o, think it might have the muscle thats needed.
Your scuplting would be perfect for star wars aliens or a Dr Evasan.

:bow :clap :bow :clap

Well kiss my ass and call me Susie!!! That is AWESOME!!!!!!

BRAVO!!!!!

I am surprised that you knocked that out in just a couple days:google

I love it Joesph!! Really!

I agree that he needs a bit of weathering, his cloak is a bit to clean. You did an amazing job with the wraps! The hands and feet look great too:rock

You really created something VERY unique here Joesph, you should be very proud man!!

Talent flows from Krusaders like ^^^^ from p!tus mouth!!!
