Well had some fun tonight, finished up my Alien Nation custom... Got his suit new body. Did some touch-ups to the sculpt and color matched the hands.

Suit is the Toy Soldier one you can get for $20 and is really nicely made and a great deal. The rest are bits from dragon figures.

After I was done with that, I got worried about the well-being of my Zombie friends and decided to recycle some left-over bits and make some snacks.

Just a Sideshow head and hand, gouged up the bases, added sculpey and repainted:

Those look amazing!!! :bow That severed head is so bloody and gooey looking!!! :D :rock :rock :rock I've never seen Alien Nation...so I don't know who the hell that weird looking thing is....but the sculpt is f'n cool as hell!!!

Thanks Jen, its hard to find images for the show, but it was basically a police drama with the twist that one of the cops was an alien. It was a late 80's show and did a lot of exploration of racial issues through Sci Fi. But thats what the aliens looked like, bigger heads with spots.

I decided to try and tackle Brock Samson again, unfortunately I didn't pay attention to size and realized that he is more of a 1/4 size than 1/6  I'm thinking for practice I might sculpt a neck and torso and make him into a bust.

Oh well, it gave me good practice for the 3rd, and maybe final attempt.

Painting a 2D character in 3D was more difficult than I thought, most of the characters on Venture brothers have either black eyebrows, or the shadow of their brow is drawn black. Took me awhile to figure that one out.

I lvoe that one man , there getting better and better each time by alot !.
Don't stop man , the cartoony ones have a great comical look to them !.
It works really well , I was just looking through some youtube videos and caught your collection one. Nice stuff man!.

That "slag" looks great!! And don't forget it started as a feature film with James Caan and Mandy Patinkin!!
"And still it fits?"
Hey, Galactic, if you wind up selling copies of that cyclops, let me know!!

Yeah, it actually wasn't until I started looking for images that I realized he was originally played by Many Patinkin... the makeup really tricks you on that one.

About the cyclops, in all honesty I've never done anything with mine. You'd need to do some work to the head to fit it on a body (either dremmel or add a neck post) but you can just have it. I'll send you a PM :duff

Been awhile since I sculpted anything, but got a bug in me last night and attempted a Joker sculpt. Not based off anything, but more comic-inspired style. In retrospect exposed teeth would have been a good idea :duh

Anyway, here he is in sculpey... plan on painting him later on today or tomorrow.

You're really improving dude. I mean seriously, that is looking sharp.:rock
I love the closed mouth smile myself. Extending that nose out more than down would really make that sculpt shine.

Thanks Coco, and I wish I'd read your post before I began painting, thats a good call about the nose. Oh well, too late (or lazy) to turn back now. I've got the face mostly done and just got the first coat on his hair. Hopefully get him finished in a bit.

Been a while since I visited this thread. Your 300 fig is spot on. The Dead custom is eerily as good. Your sculpting is really taking shape and I have to agree with Batty, the hair on your Joker looks great.

Thanks guys, really appreciate it! I really just need to get into a consistent groove, but often times I just kinda forget and don't do anything for awhile. Just got a do a few touched and he'll be up... pretty happy how he's turned out.
