I do a lot of cropping using outside shots. The higher resolution helps in those situations.

Well the difference is that the image quality might look terrible in which case it's not worth using. That's how it is on my Galaxy Nexus, 8MP which was pretty high when it came out but the quality is really bad and so photos are pretty much useless.

And apple is perfect right? :slap. They take away a developers rights when they find holes in their system.

I just popped into an att store after lunch. I didn't think the samsung felt as cheap as some are making it out to be. It has a bigger screen and appeared to be the same size if not smaller than the one. I don't know? It will be a game time decision. I can't decide. :rotfl

Is it true that if I get the 16 gig S4 that it will not save certain things to an sd card that I may attach? For example I'm being told that the phone only has about 9 gigs left on it when you buy it. My sync system in my SUV will only work with songs on the actual phone (not the SD). My music is about 8 gigs. So that leaves me with 1 gig for apps. Thats not acceptable if that's the case.

If I do, that renders them useless with my sync system.

I don't think that's true. I am 99.9% sure image used SYNC with my S3 and all my music is on the sd card. The only car I have had an issue with is GM cards new system, it only reads the main memory.

Unless the S4 has a crap load extra stuff I have around 12gb before adding app and stuff.

in my s3, they have couple of free apps to transfer your stuff to sd memory card. i have that app, even do i dont need it just yet. didn't even put a top up sd memory card on mine yet. :lol

Bought the Galaxy 4. I couldn't decide so I will use an ipod for my sync and be done with it if I can't get it to work.

Really hated it at first. Its growing on me. At first I wanted to take it back. :lol

I'd like to know your impressions on it, since you're a former Apple user. I like the iPhone 5 because of its build quality and iOS, but it seems severely dated by today's standards. The one thing that's holding me off from the GS4 (or HTC One) at the moment, is the screen size of the phone. Fitted with with a case, it might not fit in my pocket :monkey1.

It will fit in your pocket just fine. It's really not that big.

First impressions are rather shocking. I'm an apple guy. So I have the Mac, iPad, and iPod. So doing something as simple as putting a picture from the phone on the Mac takes an extra step or two. What I've found is there are several ways to do the same thing. I haven't messed with the music yet. I will say where apple simply works, this makes you do the work. If that makes sense? It's something I know I will get used to.

The phone itself seems pretty good. The camera is down right awesome. That was the deciding factor for me between this and the HTC one. I think I made the right choice. It's pretty fast as well. The menus took some getting used to but I like the complete control I have over the phone. So that's the nice part and the advantage of making the switch.

I do think I like the email system of the iPhone better. The only thing I really don't like about the phone is the back of the device. The large white plastic back looks and feels cheap. I thought the black color looked even more cheap. Although I'm sure it's cheap to replace should you need to.

I just need to get comfortable with it. I ordered a 32 gig micro SD card to throw in it. I also had an old iPod laying around so I'm using that for my SUV's sync system. Which I wanted to do anyways because I kept forgetting to grab my phone. I will report back in a couple days with an update. I wouldn't say there is a huge issue though going from iPhone to this.

Assuming you have a Ford...you can buy a cheap USB flash drive, put your music on it and and plug it into USB port in the car. You don't have to worry about charging a device and it works like a charm.

Yup I have a new Escape. So I can talk and all that BS and it works fine?

Well I may not be keeping it after all. Apparently Jelly Bean is the problem. My phone came with just about 9 gigs left on it (although it's advertised being 16). I bought a good micro SD card. I was told I could save apps to the SD with a program. What I'm finding is you can't with this new Jelly Bean business. Not without rooting. All apps must be on the internal drive of the phone. Now considering there are only 9 gigs left that's a problem.

Anyone have a solution to this? 9 gigs just isn't a lot of space.

My experience is most apps can be installed on the SD and some have to be on the phone (facebook, twitter, amazon stuff). Really sucks they don't give you a choice.

Go to your apps section and you should be able to move some of your apps to the SD card.
