But to clear things up on my part, I think Hot Toys does make better products and I dont think they are over priced.

I think Sideshow makes slightly lower quality figures and are priced accordingly.

I still dont see what all the fuss about dropping $90 is.

When someone gets this in hand and has a few days to spend with it then they can say whether or not it is worth $90. Deciding now, months before it is even released, if it is worth it make no sense.

While Hot Toys IS now the top dog in the 1/6th world, they have their quality control issues just the same as everyone else.

Well then I'm glad I've had no QC problems with my Medicoms. For what I buy, they do the best job.

Anyway, the Gandalf does look good, just not $90 good in my opinion.

Gandalf look ok.
The material of the robes looks a bit strange... I remember him always looking all scruffy, the robes a little worse for wear. This looks like he just stepped out of the tailor. Even Ani the dandy had robes that looked more worn.
And the price is a bit steep.
I don't care for the exclusive, so I'll just get him somewhere else.

My dad grew up in the depression and passed a lot of that 'frugal' attitude onto me, so I feel guilty about spending that much on a glorified GI Joe.

I also eat the kids leftovers instead of throwing them away, but I workout a lot.

Oh and I wish I had a Guinness!!
