They came up with the price for reason.

I think people are speaking because he isn't sold out. As you said I don't think Sideshow raises their price for no reason. I would just like to know what the reason is.

I am not going to say he doesn't look great he does. However, I don't understand how people can just accept the price. I had a discussion with the Josh in the Anakin vs Obi dio thread a few days ago. I mentioned how I liked the piece and I didn't think it was worth $279.99. I still don't think it is worth that. I actually just picked it up for about $100 less than the Sideshow price. Even so I bet the place that I picked it up from still made some sort of profit. That being said I know there is a high mark up on these things. I would just like to know where they get their prices. Heck they have retailers selling their own product less than what they are. I guess I just don't understand. Don't put me in the I hate Sideshow category either because I don't. They were my gateway drug into this whole collectible mess anyways.

Thanks for the hi-res Josh...this one shot in particular put one of my concerns to rest...the material for the cloak and robes DOES have some decent texture to iit...looks great.

Hard to tell, but does he have a scabbard for his sword? Hope so...

And wow...I leave for the afternoon to go down to the lake and return to see this thread grows to 30+ pages with post after post of wrinkled skirts...a lot of folks got their dander up, eh?

If there is no new body, the quality is not going up, it is staying the same. Hands that are difficult to change, an unbalanced body that can be extremely hard to move, and who knows what kind of paint apps we'll get or if the accesories will break the first time they are touched. That is why HT and Medi are vastly superior and worth the higher price.

Yup. My Rambo 3 bow broke right out of the box.

We also got a Jor El with nothing, no accessories at all. Still rockes they made him though!!!

yeah. I have 1 Hot TOys fig. Copperhead DIG. and while he's one of my favorite pieces in my collection, I had about 3 pieces break straight out of the box ...

Let me count my Hot Toys breakage. I have broken a Ed-209, a Rambo 3 bow, A rambo 3 knife sheath, Drakes plug in headset piece, Elder pred belt, Hudsons earpiece that needed re glued.

I have been kinda lucky as far as breakage with my HT figures. I have had a couple preds come missing parts and the crap ass Aliens Warrior I have broken some predator parts putting them together, but that was mostly my fault.

On the whole though I have had very little probs with my HT figures, but the same can be said of my SS figures. Never have had to send one back.
