our dollar is going bankrupt, but no-body is listening because toys are more important! Our freedoms are being lost, but not too many care! People are losing their homes, but hey television isnt telling you that, so it must not be true. Soon you all wont be able to afford to buy any of this stuff! Everything keeps going up in price! The Economy is just fine because the media tells you so.

Gandalf in Gondorian Armor! Coming Soon!

However if the figure were $60 and only came with one staff, one cloak, perhaps a hat sculpted of hard plastic and not removeable - no print on the culottes (perhaps no culottes at all, just the outer robes) - would that be better?

No, because then I'd be *****ing about the missing details. :D

i think the plan is to make Gandalf in clone armor next. I think the thought is Lord of the Rings is good and Star Wars is good so why not just stick them together and then everybody will be happy. :monkey3

They'll include two robes and a stormtrooper belt.

Whoa! I'm glad I happened by this thread today... I got my Gandolf ordered now!

I think if he were on a new body that the TF video would have touted that.

It didn't, so I think the answer is a simple one too.

Nope. Gandalf is a Buck. :D

If it is a Buck then I say shame on them for that sticker price. As it stands it is neither officially confimed or denied that it is a Buck right?

I don't think they've said either way, and yes $90 for a buck body and this figure is just too much.

However, I think it's possible that they wanted to debut the new body with Indy, and so even though they're using it on Gandalf that was released a bit earlier, they didn't make a big deal about it. That's what I'm hoping.

I dont see myself trying any wild poses with Gandalf so I am fine with him being on the buck body.

Also the heavy layering of clothing will serve to cover any buck imperfections.

And one more thing, Gandalf may be on a big boy body, and maybe Sideshow has not developed a big boy Prometheus body yet.

Right.

But I would offer this as evidence from the order page:

The 12-inch Gandalf Figure includes:

* 12-inch male body with 30+ points of articulation

Granted it also says that one Indy order page, but we have a video explicitly stating that Indy is "the first" Sideshow figure to feature the new Prometheus body.

I understand what you're saying, but I want to feel like I'm getting something for the extra $25 they're charging over previous figures.

Is there more than one style of big boy body? The one they used for the T2 figure seems way too muscular for Gandalf.
