There was a perfect cure for that production Legolas head, by none other than Darren Carnall, formerly "Hunky Artist". Darren's resculpt looks even better than the prototype pics, at least imo.

I'm really looking forward to Gandalf's arrival... it's been a long wait, but it sounds like it'll be well worth it!

I actually like the head on Legolas also. I think the photos on SS's site make it look drastically different from the in hand product(which is most of the time normal) but overall I think is a decent sculpt. I can't wait to see Gandalf!

He emailed me back saying it's due in on fri. and will ship then. So yeah take it for what it's worth. But that does seem on time with the letter so........

I was thinking they weren't expected in the warehouse before 10/20... although I may have confused that with a different figure.

Said 10-12 days and that was one week ago today. So anytime now i would think.

SSC shipping is mad backed up right now, they're still struggling to get out the Clone Wars Obi-Wans as well as Hot Toys Predator busts and not sure what else, Gandalf will likely take longer than that 10-12 projected him.

The prototype looks better, but I think it's all due to the paint job. It's hard to be sure though.

The production figure just seemed a bit elongated for some reason. The factor paint apps were actually pretty nice for Sideshow. But the head is just off.
