Did anyone else know about this? All kidding aside I was always curious how Fingaz could survive 4 or 5 shots ALL the time. You can only put damage on someone from an angle who's in cover if you're the host.

From the fixes thread on the Gears forum -

The glitch that allows only the Host to shoot players hiding in cover at an angle will be fixed in TU4.

He's saying that b/c your in cover/sticking to a wall, and somebody is trying to shoot you from around a corner/at an angle, they would not deal any damage to you unless they are hosting. People who are not hosting wouldn't be able to shoot you and hurt you.
