depending on the condition anywhere between $300 to $500

If you want mint in sealed box, you're looking at $600 minimum depending on box...800-900 for c-9
But even then there's a likelihood of dried rubber arm connectors....

For the price of a an opened box, used figure in less than stellar condition, the 24" version is not bad...BUT I agree that $400 price tag is just too high for the quality...after all it's still just plastic...no more valuable in workmanship and nowhere near the value of a standard hot toys with tons of accessories etc...
The nostalgia is what drives this line most...I bought the kenner vader for $85 and I already felt that was just way too expensive to keep up with the gg giant figure series...

To be honest I would be very surprised if this 24" Alien will be any less than $400. it does look like a very faithful representation of the original kenner big chap. recently aquired the super7 Alien and it is also beautiful. does anyone have any kind of rough idea when the 24" Alien will possibly be released?

Was just directed to this thread. Thanks Boba Ben...

Is the word really that this is going to be $400? That's just ridiculous. I'd rather invest in the real deal. Ho hum...

No official word on this one at all yet but going on other prices it’s what people are expecting.

Yeah I really want one also but not for that price. Maybe later. Guess I'll be happy with my vintage ones.

I might pick it up later in the year if funds are available but stuff like the Alien LSB take priority other this and still waiting for that pre-order. On the backburner for now and may stay that way until its sold out or on discount :lol

$500 for that?!

They're insane... though not as insane as the people who will buy it for that price.

This is shocking. I like it but don't get the marketing here. The original is 18 inches tall so this isn't a re-scaling but just adding a bit more size. What sense does that make? And this IS more expensive than a mint, loose vintage one.

One thing I wanted to correct from above. There was a warehouse find of the originals about 5 years ago, this drove down prices for mint sealed examples to about 1200-1500 dollars. Those pieces have been sucked into collections and this piece is now rare and expensive again in sealed, mint boxes. The last cherry mint one sold for 5k. I'd pay about that for a dead mint sealed example.

Crazy price for that redux. And when the cost of an item is so out of whack like that, I lose total interest. At 300 bucks it would still be overpriced but I think I would at least consider it. 400 or 500 bucks and it makes no sense at all and someone else gets my money.

I guess if you were super desperate to have the original and it was the ONE thing that was missing from your ALIEN collection, I could understand buying this. Granted it's non of my business what someone spends their cash on. I just can't get over the price of this. You can buy so many more better quality ALIEN items out there for the price. Hell the huge SSC maquette was only 300.00 more and it was bigger and way more detailed.

Just really shocked over the price of this thing and cant seem to think of what person (who does not produce money out his arse) would be buying this unless they were super desperate for the original but did not have money for a mint original.

Personally I would rather spend the money on a less then perfect / mint original.... But I am not an ALIEN collector so who am I to talk.
