Honestly I'm not buying a lot of the reviews. Those I've read can't seem to decide between it being brilliant or total crap. After the bashing the angry video game nerd got I'm pretty sure no one with internet pull would dare go down that rabbit hole with him.

He was the director, actually. I tried watching "The Heat", alongside my mum who loves Bullock, and likes McCarthy due to Mike & Molly. We bailed after 5 minutes... Seriously, the whole thing was just MC dropping F-Bombs and being disgusting. How that ******** has a 65% on RT, and a 71% Audience Score, I'll never understand...

That movie really was an exercise in "lowest common denominator". I saw it because my Wife will watch anything with Sandra Bullock. I agree, it was pretty offensive in every way, and you really have to go out of your way to offend me.

I actually liked The Heat. Not enough to buy it or rent it again but the wife and I laughed a lot.

I guess I have two movies by two obnoxious directors on my not so bad list that nerds hate.

well well well, all that hate for nothing. Just like the trailers indicated its a funny action adventure movie. It may not be amazing but it never looked horrible like everyone was saying. As a plus kids get to watch something other than talking animals and superheroes, ghosts! not enough kids horror type movies out there. Pretty excited to see this

but that doesnt erase the horrible marketing, the terrible tweet wars with leslie and the director attacking the fan base.
