I bet GB2 predicting the end of the world in 2016 really predicted this movie happening. People softening up on GB2 after all these years is all I look forward to from this. I guess I'm in the minority but I've always loved and enjoyed GB2 as much as the first movie, same with both animated series.

Just as quotable as the first too and like the first it's hilarious but also genuinely pretty frightening in parts, too. I think both movies have held up really well and aged nicely. I got no doubt once this reboot is out GB2's reception will get a lot warmer.

I've always liked GB2. I don't think the Statue of Liberty thing is a big deal. It's like them flipping what happened to them in the first on it's back and using it against the bad guy so it makes sense. I think the only real problem is having it start with them out of business. If they had jumped right into the courtroom scene and changed it so that they were on trial from the events of the first movie, then spent more time actually fleshing out Vigo himself instead of just Janosz afterwards, it'd be great. The soundtrack was awesome as well.

My only gripe with GB2 is Vigo was defeated too quickly and easily at the end. I may have kept some of the deleted scenes in as well depending on what they were like, some still haven't surfaced (like Ray being targeted by Vigo earlier).

And I wished they'd kept the charcoal uniforms after they first got them. Always thought they looked cooler than the standard gray/tan ones.

It doesn't look brilliant, but it looks OK. About what I would expect. I think the new ghost effects are pretty good.
