Luckily you loved Origins, you'll probably have this included in your academy awards predictions by tonight. :lol

:pfft: I've seen three films since December: Hobbit, Django and GI Joe. This film isn't the best of the three nor the worst.

It's definitely better than the first GI Joe film so the franchise is going in the right direction It had "moments" (3D, Rock's normal schtick and some surprises for lack of better word). Unfortunately, I agree the overall film is rather ordinary with no real memorable features.

I saw it today in 3D and XD (and with coupons that brought it down to a dollar for my ticket!), and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I don't think it deserves the negativity it's getting, and, frankly, I think it's the best film from Hasbro to date. I enjoyed it more than the first, as well as any of the Transformers films,

I agree, I didn't find it as bad as some describe. It was fun if nothing else.

If the movie's a fun watch, I'll be happy. I don't expect anything else from a G.I. Joe flick, which is probably why I loved Rise of Cobra's bat**** insanity and simply view it as a live-action cartoon. I'm looking forward to seeing it tomorrow.

:exactly:

I would say i went in with , not high expectations, but hype expectations, i wanted this movie to be awesome, and hoped it would be. So i was just a little letdown with the editing and way the story flowed.

The movie is not bad by anymeans, Theres great moments that i really enjoyed

Snake Eys Quest where he goes off and gets Storm Shadow, a pretty awesome mountainside sequence, best part of the movie probly

Everyscene the rock is in, he just adds alot of depth, even tho hes pumped up and so bad@$$, you see his emotion, you like him, hes a BO$$

Combined with the Duke Scenes, lots of comedy and banter but you get it, and i wanted more of them.

3D was well done, will say that, there was depth and they threw a good amount at you.

COBRA COMMANDER was awesome, his look is iconic, BUT I WANTED HIM MORE INT HE MOVIE! LIKE WTF ARE THEY WAITING FOR!? :slap

Actor who played President & Zartan (Not the MUMMY) was good. Hot chick, cool visual effects, good action, Great looking government briefcase scene and IT WAS FUN!

But the Cons just hit me hard, idk what it is, Pathetic writing, to much going on and not enough substance to cover everything.
I hope they make another movie soon, I Love GI JOE and at the end of the day, i just wanna see the joes in action and have a good time, like when we were kids playing with those toys, but i feel like somone needs to take the reigns and make a GOOD GI MOVIE

I think that might be why I enjoyed it so much. I thought the action scenes were great, the story was decent, the acting was pretty good, and, well, I'd pay the price of admission twice over just to see Adrianne Palicki in that skimpy outfit, again.:lol

I enjoyed it, better than roc, good popcorn flick, the "secret weapon" was cool very Joe comics style, lots of action

a few things bugged me, but I wasn't expecting this to be an oscar contender....for people to rag on this so much, surprises me that they are even movie fans....not everything can be life of pi :wink1:

[[ Tried to make this spoiler free as much as possible :wave ]]

Watched it. Went in expecting to be disappointed, went out feeling good.
I wouldn't be able to stand another go at ROC, but I wouldn't mind watching Retaliation again. :D

Viewed it in 3D, and this is actually the first time a 3D movie is making me duck!
Good job in this aspect. I think the 3D conversion was done well. And that's coming from
someone who hated ASM and Avengers 3D!

Interestingly, by the end of the movie, I was happy Tater died early. Rock
the Block seemed to fit in the leader role better imo. Just something about
the way he acts (or maybe because he actually ACTS. :lol ).

Cobra Commander has better "stage" presence this time. The new mask
and long coat really helped a lot to give that ominous feel. He just needs to
umm...like actually do something!! :lol

I had high expectations for Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow.
They didn't disappoint. :clap

Glad I have Snake Eyes AND Storm Shadow on PO. ;)

I wish the movie had more of Willis, he did a good job for what little he did.

Lady Jaye and Jinx were good additions to the team. Flint was o.k.

The movie overall was solid. Perhaps, the parts with the Arashikage master
seemed rushed, but I still got the message they were trying to deliver.

The scene with the nukes flying all over was absurd. The satellites were too, but
hey, what cobra WMD was never absurd? :lol

After a bad start, the franchise is actually shaping up pretty well.

I didn't walk out of the cinema saying what a classic this'll be, but at least I
didn't feel ripped off. This doesn't deserve all the hate it's getting.

IDK, but long time Joe fans seem to be hating anything new with Joes too much.
HAHA peace..

Movie's not an Avengers or TDKR, but I liked it more than ASM.

There you go. Hope you freaks enjoyed my short review. :D

The way I see it, this was quite an improvement over RoC, and, if they continue with the trend, by series end, we might get an amazing GI Joe movie.:lol

Good review, I am a diehard joe fan, and I enjoyed it alot, if they are really Joe fans, they have read many multiple storylines of comics, I have read all Joe comics since Marvel #1 and these movies are just the same, a different take on the Joeverse, I accept ROC, don't love it, but I don't love every story I have read either.
