It's a big dumb summer blockbuster with explosions and fights. Quite enjoyable mindless entertainment. Fun to see those characters on the screen. Some of you dorky, pretentious fanboys need to get over yourselves and your sad comic book obsessions. GI Joe isn't for adults, as much as you'd like it to be in order to avoid real human interaction. It's fun, it's not high art. GI Joe was NEVER high art and there is no real established canon for it. Comic book fans like the comic and cartoon fans like the cartoons. Who the F cares? Why do some of you expend so much energy hating on such a petty thing? I'm sure you'll all come back at me with some self important, condescending rebuttals but I won't be back on this board so save your time. You have all proven to be losers and I have outgrown you. Enjoy your dolls.

It doesn't any engery to make fun of this movie, they are giving the material. It's not the characterization that people hate, it's the choices they made in representing them.

Saw it. Enjoyed it. Oh well.

Cool action, interesting style....acting was alright. JGL was pretty cool actually. He made a good villain. Vosloo as Zartan was fun. He had a few disguises, and he did something just ^^^^ing horrible.

Pretty damn violent too. And they even had the Commander voice....

I guess if you're too hardcore, you should just stream it when someone bootlegs it.

Agreed, as long the ride involves a story that makes sense and doesnt have to many stupidities in it, ala a big earlier movie this summer with farting robots

I heard a review from a local fan that LOVES big 'splosion movies. He said it was worse than TF2.
