Did anyone get their copy? None of the stores up here got it in stock yesterday, so I'm wondering if that's a universal problem, or limited to Canadian retailers.

I forgot about the release. I'll pick it up later, its not a priority for me. I'll just buy it and put it on the side so incase I want to play it. But can't wait for GOW III

Well, I spoke too soon, as they started arriving today. Picked up my copy at lunchtime.
Note to those considering waiting - apparently the download code for the God of War III demo that's included in the box is a limited-time promotion. Now, the limited time might be between now and when GoW III comes out, or it could be much sooner.
As much as I look forward to re-playing the two original games with improved graphics, it's the GoW III demo that interests me even more. Can't wait to get home tonight.

Word of caution: do not order the GOW Collection from Gamestop.com. It's been over two days and they still didn't "verify" my order - in fact, they have a reputation about being slow with shipping out pre-orders. Anywhere is better than Gamestop...

I downloaded and played the GoW III demo last night; all I can say is, March 2010 can't come fast enough.
Gameplay is pretty much identical to the two previous games, and I think the demo takes place near the beginning of the game as you only have access to three weapons (Athena's blades, Cestus and bow) and two special items (Icarus wings and the head of Helios). And, unfortunately, the demo is not the complete level as it ends just before what will presumably be the main boss battle. You do fight a mini-boss about mid-way through, though.
But what gets me salivating are the graphics, and particularly the gore. In this short demo alone, you witness multiple beheadings, a particularly graphic disembowelment, and a close-up view of an eyeball being torn from its socket, nerves and all. Very, very cool.
Oh, and it appears as though the demo will be available for download until GoW III launches, so no need to get it right away.

No, but they've included a download code for the demo in every copy of the God of War Collection. You enter the code in the Account Management section and it allows you to download the demo onto your harddrive. The download took around 40 minutes and another 10 or so minutes to install. Worth every second.

Got mine yesterday, and overall, loving the HD upgrade. Sure, its not going to get confused with GOW III, but its soo nice. Best $40 I spent all year!
I was initally confused by the 'Full Screen' option.....not sure which looks better. I dont recall the knife display being where it is...want it more to the far left than it is....

It's not missing. Vouchers for the demo were given out on a limited basis, and not everyone received a code.

exactly. Weird.................On the U.S. version of the Collection, its even listed on the cover 'demo included'
