I almost bought this the other day. But I can't justify $40 for two games I already own just because they look a tad better. I'm not double dipping for that.

Trust me man, you will not double dipping by purchasing the collection. The graphical improvements are phenomenal over the original games. Anti-aliasing has been added, and the frame-rate has been increased to 60 fps, compared to 30 fps in the originals. The games just don't look a tad better in the collection - they look a hell of a lot better !

I look at the God of War Collection, as being something similar to Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. Most of the people who owned MGS 3, bought subsistence because it was an improvement over the original game. The funny thing is, the only thing that made subsistence different from the original title, was that it featured a 360 degree free floating camera. Regardless though, the new camera was enough to provide an enhanced experience for MGS 3, and it allowed players to play MGS 3, the way that it was meant to be played.

What I'm trying to say is, that the graphical improvements alone, are a valid reason to pick up the GOW Collection. If you enjoyed playing GOW I and II the first time around, you'll enjoy it a lot more with the Collection.

By the way, you can always trade in your old copies of GOW I and II to get a discount on the collection.

i would say it is worth it to get the update, the game was sweet and now its in high def................worth every penny

I caved and bought this today. Someone had an issue about not getting the GoWIII demo voucher? There is a big logo on the cover of the game that says it is included. I don't know how anyone could not get one. It doesn't make any mention of it being limited.

So since I got the demo for reserving GoWIII, I don't need the voucher code that came with the collection. First to PM gets it.

That's great man! You won't be disappointed. As for the demo, the strange thing is, that I never got a voucher code either, just like a few other folks. Regardless, I didn't need the code, as I already downloaded and finished the demo a few weeks back.

I am kinda of a collector of games, and have always owned the GH version of God of War I on the PS2...have wanted to get the original, non GH version.......my gamestop happened to have one in for $10......sweet........considering how awesome the Collection one is, I still love playing the original on my PS2...a true testatment to the original GOW and how good it really is

Ok, anyone ever heard of God of War: Betrayal? I never have, but was a side scrolling adventure released in 2007...what the? I must have been under a rock.....

I was playing this at my friend's yesterday. The graphics look really nice. Also is it just me or does there seem to be more enemies in GOW1 than in the original PS2 version?

went ahead and picked this up at work today, as well as Fear 2 for $10 using the TRU sale. Started playing the first GOW and am ashamed that I nevered tried it before, pretty good so far even though I only passed the Leviathan.

I finished God of War on this collection last night. I'm currently playing God of War II which I have never played past the first 30 minutes of the game despite buying it on the PS2 when it came out.

I never past the part where you first get to the Steeds of Time. I just past the part where you get the giant horses moving to connect the islands together. I don't know why I waited till now to play this game. It is awesome.
