Interesting, the G2K looks based on Sakai's maquette and the suit, not 100% of either.

Yeah, the full Battra pics released a while back had me excited and wondering if Mothra wasn't too far behind. Looks like that's the case

Less detailed, but Banpresto did put out a 10 inch vinyl in black and green, I have the green one and love it, one of my favorites.

The head gives me a major '54 vibe. I love it.
Sakai's original work in the Godzilla Dream book show a lot of '54 feel, they all feel like he took the '54 and put his spin on it.
What I like most about his G2K is his spikes look more bony and not so crystalline like the suit.

It is 1:160 scale. Godzilla is about 50cm in height and puts him really at about 1:220 scale but close enough for me.

I do like the grey color for G2k's spines. The purple can look cool, but I never really preferred it.
Nice! So that's N scale right?
I've been thinking about getting some buildings and stuff on that scale for mine!
I want buildings that'd work about right with the 8" Kaiyodo vinyls.

JR miniatures makes some resin buildings that should work. Some of the smaller Kato and Tomytec buildings would work as highrise buildings.

They nailed the Godzilla 2000. I'm so glad they went with the maquette and not the toad-faced costume.
