Look who came in from Japan last night! I think he looks fantastic and has great articulation. He can even stand great with his tail off the ground.

Wow, I looked at his head and thought for a minute, with a few small
mods he could be Gamera. :rotfl

Hi guys, I have always wanted a good Godzilla, but $400 for a 12" vinyl figure seems ridiculously high...especially for something without an ES. What is the value here? Why are these so expensive for a 12" plastic figure?

These are not our fathers Godzilla figures. I simply want the best but didn't want to pay a ton, so
I went with the 6' line of Monster Arts figures. They make some great figures and I got my last few
each under $60.

I never had such high quality figures when I was a kid, so Monster Arts is welcome in my house any day.

This was the first one I got for $59 on ebay, new in box. I'm an old suit guy....:yess:

I'm glad that he's got some color, the design looked so barren. Still not really a fan of the sleekness of it, but I'm assuming it's very animation accurate.

Nice! I will check those out. I was mainly referring to this line, as I am in love with this design even though it was not used-

Is the price high just from who sculpted it?

I also just received my Monsterarts Godzilla 2017! I really wish Netflix would show his movie already, I love him! So fun to pose, so awesome!

Oh yes, they are awesome. I have forty X-Plus Godzilla figures, and none of mine have any quality issues.
They are all made well and have good paint jobs. There are several web sites besides BBTS that sell them.
Check Flossie's Gifts, Awesome Collector, and of course ebay. There are also some X-Plus groups on facebook
that are good sources of info.

The day has finally come. The RIC Gigantic Shin arrived today!! It really is an awesome figure. Does it look exactly like the prototype?
Nope, but very few mass produced figures do. I like the paint apps and the purple looks good to me. I think the folks that cancelled it
based upon the photos that were released a few weeks ago, are gonna regret it. Here are a few pics of mine, along with it beside my
Standard Gigantic Shin and some of my other X-Plus Godzillas.

I think it looks pretty good, but I do hate the highly noticeable seam for the switch out head. Maybe some heating and remolding can close it a bit.

Agreed. And it can be but I think the fixed are permanent in the sense that yo make it very seamless you can't switch out the head either.

I still love that we get both heads though.

Looks good enough. That seam though, is too noticeable.

Might fix it and do mini- repaint since this one was meant to be in atomic breath pose anyway.

The box art looks nicer. The figure itself could be nicer but repainting this beast would be a major undertaking.

To me, it looks OK enough. More like 2/3 of the way to finish. All you have to do is fixing here and there, drybrushing, coating it properly. Done.
I'll see if that seam can be fixed without making it permanent. Mine will arrive next Jan though.
