My theater had its walls shaking with every roar and the older gentleman sitting two seats over from me complained about his ears ringing at the end of it all :yess:

When you say collectibles do you mean figures and such? Because they’re starting to come out now. Neca has Godzilla and Mothra our and the Monsterarts Godzilla just released.

There’s also a sweet vinyl album releasing in July. Got my PO in for that. It looks really nice!

Holy crap dude that blows away the art book I want that I need that and I don’t even own a record player lol

:rock :rock

The audience, especially my kids (lol), absolutely jumped out of their seats when the underwater team lowered the blast shields and G swam by the giant window with the sound only coming from the left and tracking across the center as he swam by. If this film wasn't made for Atmos I don't know what is.

And kudos to the film for having the balls to

have the environmentalist mom be evil and the single white dad the good guy.

It was rather refreshing seeing that narrative play out the way it did I was thinking about my conservative friends in the forum who were going to appreciate it specifically you and JAWS while watching it lol

It helps that my sister works for Disney over in Burbank, I think that’s their location i’m stuck here in crappy NY lol

It could be because I never watched a cartoon nor has my son or wife.

I’m going to Disneyland later this month for Star Wars land so I am by no means innocent :lol

I have a small collection of Godzilla albums that started with Hedorah. I figured I might as well keep going.

I do think they still had a little too much human crap in the movie though. I mean I'm glad it was offset by a whole lot more monster action but shortening the human stuff would have worked wonders. There was so much human stuff that when I got up to pee halfway through I was freaking pissed that I'd actually missed something kaiju related when I sat back down and both my kids said "Mothra just came out of her cocoon." :gah:

lol

You missed the Mothra emergence? :thud:

Obviously you need to go see it again :duh

Your wife and son will be allowed through the gates. You in the other hand....

I researched all the changes they made in the new one it gave me too many silent head shakes. Then I listens to a few of the songs and couldn’t handle it. So I opted out. The removal of the snake did the biggest damage for me. How could you remove Jafars Thulsa Doom moment?! It was the kaiju of the Aladdinverse :lol

The pearly kaiju gates lol

Holy crap dude I missed the exact same moment of when Mothra came out of her cocoon and I guess sang to wake up Godzilla something like that because my wife and son were begging me to go do the free food refills lol

It gives me an excuse to go see it again in Dolby.

Seriously?!

One of Disney's Modern Masterpieces?

And your sister works for Disney?

JYE, for your kids sake, for your wife, for your sister, for understanding why this remake stinks, you need to see the animated Aladdin.

True story my first theatrical movie experience in the United States of America was animated Cinderella but when it comes to Disney animated I’ve only seen Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and Lion King that’s it!

Hey it’s my sister that is owned by Disney not me lol

If Disney didn’t own Marvel and SW there would be a lot less Disney in my life!

Holy crap dude i’m drawing a blank which movie is that from, is that FW?

Destoroyah :lecture

Well it’s WB and WB and Disney or no longer playing nice with Netflix but make no mistake about it the budget is getting slashed really hard right about now and it just might go straight to WB streaming.

They don't change budgets like that when a movie is already so far into production. The movie is also too expensive I think for a streaming platform.

I barely saw any Disney growing up, Pinocchio and The Rescuers was pretty much it. Was not a Disneyfied kid.

That aside, Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin are 2 of the greatest animated Disney films ever. Beauty is responsible for the Animated Oscar category, as it was the only animated film to ever be nominated for the Best Picture Oscar, and Aladdin is the only movie I'm aware of to earn a Oscar nomination for a voice actor, Robin Williams. It's honestly the only role to ever fully utilize Robin Williams' talents. At least give Aladdin a chance sometime, if only to compare the 2 movies.

Yeah I need to add Aladdin and Alita 3-D to my must see list but that being said I like how the live versions add a layer of texture that is missing from the animated versions.

Are you lookkng forward to Lion King?

It will probably get dumped in theaters with half the promotion it would have had.

Yeah I just don’t see WB saying hey let’s dump $250 million into the new one to make it the best it can be after this:

14: 93 million
Kong: 61 million
KOTM: 47 million and losing to Aladdin monday after lol

Yes, it seems Mothra responds to Ghidorah's awakening of Titans by going "oh ****, trouble" and goes looking for Godzilla for help and calls to him from above a hollow earth tunnel to his layer.

I will see Lion King, but honestly, it never had much if an impact on me. The story is basically Hamlet and the music was too POP oriented for me. I found the hyenas irritating, as well as little Simba.

But I'll give it a chance.
