Oh, god! They will show young Joker next week :slap

Good laugh though...

Joker? Aren't they going too fast? A nemesis like him should put into mystery box people curious all the time

Too many young villains being brought in every week. This **** was doing ok for a while but now it's like Muppet Babies.

And ffs just kill Fish off. Get rid of the mistake already.

First thing I thought when the preview says "is no JOKE" was he's NOT Joker.
I'm hoping it's some misdirection and they are just teasing the "idea" of the character this episode and he won't actually be a regular character on the show.

The show has been entertaining so far but c'mon....no Batman, no Joker.

sad thing is, he probably is the actual joker since they recently said that everyone is asking to see the joker so their original plan to stretch out his story was changed to instead bring him in earlier into the show to satisfy everyone who has been asking to see him now instead of later

Just watching E1 & 2 is currently on air. Love the show already.

I am a little bit worried about all your negative reactions, but wont read here any longer due to getting spoiled. (the show just has started overherin Germany)...

It's a pretty good show. Episode 7, "Penguin's Umbrella" was awesome! But you have to watch the first 6 for it to have an impact :)

The show isn't bad but they aren't learning/improving imo. We've had 16 major villains in 16 episodes. That says it all, really. It remains hit or miss or largely pick what you like and leave the rest and this far in, it should be getting better almost regularly.

It seems all over the place, like it doesn't know what it is yet. The strange subplots, and "humor" with characters like Nigma and that other girl he works with. The tone is not consistent either. It shouldn't be a difficult show to make, but in the last episode you had all these stuff going on, and it's too much :lol

We had Fish and her subplot, Penguin and his problems with Maroni, Bruce Wayne and whatever his problem is, Gordon and the girl he's dating, then there's catching the villain of the episode, but he also has a story and a background...and a son, who will become a future villain...I mean HOLY ****! How much stuff can you put in one episode? :lol

My biggest gripe is Bruce Wayne himself, as he's not depicted as what an 8/10/12 year old boy would in moments of intense grief and trauma. Real kids who are subjected to traumatic experiences do not act like they are on a mission, they're more concerned about the fact that they've just lost their livelihood. They are confused and might be subjected to outlandish behavior, but one thing they DON'T have is resolution and confidence.

I was always keen on the writers getting rid of Bruce and making the show kind of like The Long Halloween where it's the gradual madness taking over Gotham. If you can't write Bruce as a sympathetic child going trough trauma, then just don't have the character altogether. The writers should have consulted in a physiologist rather than making up stuff to appease the notion that, yes, he is becoming Batman.

The bigger problem is Bruce is still only like 12, it's been like a few months on the show, and already we've got Joker, Penguin, Riddler, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Zsasz, Falcone, Maroni, Scarecrow, Scarecrow's dad... Who is left?

Every villain is established in a 5 month span then no new bad guys show up in Gotham for 30 years while Batman fights them? :lol There's literally nothing to build up to, nowhere to go. Are they going to have a kid that really likes to collect calenders and hurts animals on holidays? Just every imaginable minor side character? What do you do next season? And every villain has been bad for life? They all broke bad as a kid and grew up a ****bag for 25 years straight? :lol

Batman doesn't need to train. By the time he puts on the suit, everyone he's fighting will be on medicaid. May as well go full Muppet Babies and have full on 14 year old suited up Batman next season.

I'm pretty sure a psychiatrist would have told them that real kids don't become Batman.

:lol

Actually, there is this doctor who does weekly podcasts of physiological aspects and assessment of the characters from Batman the Animated Series. They analyze about what's real, plausible and pure fiction when it comes to Batman & psychology. Pretty eye opening stuff and I'm surprised how plausible Bruce Timm's Batman is about as realistic as it gets.

Batman: Caped Crusader for Mental Health | The New York Academy of Sciences

She seriously should have been a consultant for the show.

I'll check her out.

It's pretty ridiculous, and it will be what ruins the show for me in the end. I like it a lot, and I want to keep liking it. I don't have a lot of hope in that regard, but I'm going to try not to jump off the train until the last possible moment.

It's all the Batman stuff that really is grinding my gears. In a perfect world, we'd get a "Gotham" like Boardwalk Empire or The Wire. A comprehensive look at the history of the city, its inhabitants, the inevitable fall of organized crime, and the descent into madness that followed.

I like the show but I have to agree about showing too many villains too fast... Its out of hand.

A lot of villains added every week. Show needs a little room to breathe. I hope Fish Mooney gets knocked off soon. I just don't care for the character and I'd rather see more screen time for Falcone, Maroni, and Penguin. The interaction between those 3 alone could fill up an episode without a problem. Add the numerous villains in play during each episode as well...something has got to give. I'm much more interested in seeing a traditional mob struggle between Falcone and Maroni. As they struggle with each other for control, the more colorful villains loom in the background as a threat to the established/traditional mob ways in Gotham. The winner of the Falcone and Maroni war will think they now have complete control of Gotham. That's when a new breed of villains in Gotham can show Falcone or Maroni just how wrong they are and just how far they are willing to go to change the status quo.
