Am I the only one who has any standards here??

If they were going to do an episode on the joker, they should have saved the fish mooney stuff for another episode. The episode felt very rushed, very sloppily edited together. It keeps bouncing back between fish, penguin, barbara, and the date between gordan and lee.

The idea was okay: Young boy born from a whore mother, watches mother whore herself out, then loses his mind. Script wise and dialogue wise it might have been a good idea, but it was very poorly executed.

if Gotham is about focusing on the younger version of these character, why does Jerome already have the full fledged joker laugh?? Performance wise it felt kinda forced. Like he was forcing himself into the joker laugh, and he was very aware he was being filmed. Not acting 101/theater camp bad, but still not good.

I dunno I think they burned ALOT of goodwill with that episode. I counted myself as a fan of the series before tonight's episode.

I didn't mind it. Let's face it, only us comic book geeks will know it was the joker. We'll see him again and I'm sure it will have more of an impact. Not to mention this show is called Gotham. Not Gordon. So they're gonna show what's going on with the rest of the characters.

Was the whole thing rushed? Yes, but that's the show, and they have been doing that since the first episode. As far as "the joker" goes, I read that this won't be the last time we'll see him, so we'll see what the long term plans are with the character.

I thought the kid did a great job. He seemed to be mixing the Ledger and Nicholson Joker, and it worked for me. As far as the laugh, it's not a special ability of "power" that he gains later on when he becomes the joker, so his laugh and voice shouldn't really be that different now. I don't think it was forced...and if it was, it's the script's fault, not the actor playing the character.

However, I don't get the point of him confessing to the crime or getting caught so easily...that's my only issue. He's too clever to get caught like that, and if anything, they should have either, arrested someone else, or Gordon knows the kid did it, but he can't prove it, then the kid shows his true colors and laughs. Not to mention, if he got arrested, that means he already has a criminal record :lol

I missed part of show where Fish ends up in that prison or whatever it is. I guess no one there carries guns? How could she get away with what she does. I'm confused.

The kid definitely had that crazy Joker vibe. I was wondering if he could pull it off after last week's preview, but I'll admit that he nailed it.

"Dance for me." Zsasz reprogramming people... :lol I will never be able to respect Penguin. Nothing he can do on cable could fix it.

why do I even still watch this nonsense? :lol Get some writers. Anyone who passed English 1 CP would be fantastic.

All this show has going for it is the casting and it needs a break. They have enough characters for 5 seasons going at once right now.

Eh it's still fun.

I like all the pre-super villains but yea they need to step them up a bit. Have Penguin grow some bawls. Have Gotham turn into the city that needs Batman to stop them.

The Joker's...........ginger????

Makes him more mad bro.

I thought the writers heard the complaints about Fish and they tried to exile her for awhile, but instead they gave her more scenes?! Will Smith must be up their ass

Well when they did the Killing Joke, he was a ginger.

I really like some of the character build up, but the lack of correlation in source material pisses me the **** off. Seriously, what is it with them messing up Crane? What about the Red Ski Mask, not Red Hood? Or the fact that Sarah Essen is literally 20 years older than Gordon....it's all ********!

Even the lesbian relationship of Barbara and Montoya is idiotic. To be able to make me pissed off about a lesbian relationship is some serious skills. :lol

"Help me, Jared Leto. You're my only hope."

It was so forced. You nailed it with the Nicholson thing, but, unlike you, I wasn't a fan. Mainly because the only person capable of doing Nicholson is Nicholson himself. The kid wasn't bad, but it really did seem more like an imitation than an interpretation. Honestly, I don't know what to say other than that this show is a cluster****. I don't know whether to love it or hate it because I don't know what the **** it is I'm watching. Whodunnit at the circus, Fish Mooney, president of the trafficked humans delivering speeches from some dudes back; it's a madhouse, I tell ya, a maaaaadhouse! If it was just over the top, I could probably get behind it, but it flip flops. One minute they're trying to be a serious cop drama, and the next you're watching l'il Bruce play "the last emperor." This show has more personalities than Harvey Dent.:lol
