Exactly. Your foundation is BS. Religious Law does not trump Goverment laws when the two are in conflict over a matter where a child's life is in danger.

Thank the gods you are not incharge of this boys life and rational thinking people are doing what they can to save his life, despite his parents "religious" zeal.

How did you escape Jonestown?

I don't know why you guys are arguing about this crap. But yes, you are right. The Supreme Court is ruling against Christian Scientist parents who let their kid die of diabetes and both were found guilty of reckless homicide among other crimes and went to jail. I'm not going to look it up for you but since you both have enough time to argue about this garbage :)p) you've apparently got the time to look it up. The way the United States sees it, having a child is a privilege they bestow upon you. That child can be taken away at will should they deem you unsafe/unfit.

Actually, you know what? Here's the link anyway

Somewhere there's a similar case where a child died of pneumonia and the parent was also found guilty and sentenced. The separation of church and state does not give anyone the right to ignore the laws of this country, espcially those regarding the welfare of it's future.

Please keep in mind, as I typed earlier, I do not follow an organised religion and believe I would have used chemo on my own child. Do you have reading glasses? If so, maybe you should get them before you join a debate.

I may need reading glass but you clearly need an education. :lol

Wrong. Schizophrenia is scientifically still unexplained. It is still scientifically on the table as to whether these people are actually hearing something that is real or not.

Are you being serious with your posts? I really can't tell.

Schizophrenia has been scientifically explained. While we don't know for sure how people become schizophrenic (just like we don't know what causes Hodgkin's Disease), there is a brain chemical imbalance characterized by increased dopamine activity consistently found in people who are schizophrenic. That is how we know we can eliminate many of the symptoms and allow many people suffering from schizophrenia to live independent and fulfilling lives.

You are forgetting that alot of things were considered 'supernatural' until science explained it. People hearing voices is still unexplained and the explanation may surprise us all.

Your right about the first bit, but schizophrenia is one of those things that has been scientifically explained, it's not anything considered to be supernatural. The answer to unanswered questions should never be "god(s) did it" or "it's supernatural."

Yup. I guess I am. As are you. Whodathunk it. Fortunately I have case ruling precedence on my side.

I can tell you are anxious to display how smart you think you are, so answer me this: Muslims. Should we allow muslims to carry out honor killings in America? .. I mean we are the land of the free after all.

Wrong again, I didn't interpret the law, I quoted "in the spirit" of which it was written. I don't care how smart I am perceived, you still aren't reading. But you are reading in.

Here you go, interpret away:

https://www.usconstitution.net/const.html#Am1

Amendment 1 - Freedom of Religion, Press, Expression. Ratified 12/15/1791. Note

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

so its your belief that the founding fathers intended for "free exercise" of religious freedom to extend infinitly as an excuse to do anything without penalty by the government?

You should look it up, I did, it is up in the air as to what the chemical imbalance is allowing them to hear.

That is true in any case where religion does not impede the rights of others, especially the human right to exist. Did you pass Government in High School?

So if I follow a religion that says I must kill all people who are 6 ft tall and I follow through with that does that mean I should be penalty free?

:lol:lol:lol
the supreme court interpreted that.

Its just like the 2nd amendment. you have a right to bear arms, but you can't use that right as an excuse to take away someone else's right, ie murder them.

I think it is murder, you think it is murder, and the courts are starting to lean that way. But the people who have faith in a religion feel differently.

So if I follow a religion that says I must kill all people who are 6 ft tall and I follow through with that does that mean I should be penalty free?

Maybe you should start a religion that gives you the freedom to beat the ^^^^ out of bald punk wannabes.:lol:lol:lol

So if I follow a religion that says I must kill all people who are 6 ft tall and I follow through with that does that mean I should be penalty free?

It all depends opun what you believe. I would try to stop you if I could, but that is my own personal belief.

Yes. :lecture

GOD BLESS AMERICA AND THE FREEDOMS PROVIDED BY THE FIRST AMENDMENT.

and god bless bolt for bringing that hitherto unknown nugget of american philosophy to all of our attention. thank you. :lol

So by your rationale, since Pix is too chicken$#!+ to say it, you're justifying the attacks on U.S. soil/citizens by Muslim extremists. Is that how I'm interpreting this?
