Wow! Do NOT miss Blackest Night 5! BL Batman! Very briefly is all though. The ending is killer! Literally. :google

And read GL first as it takes place before BN5.

BN5 was awesome-----did not see this about reading GL first---Oh well...

My LCS is no longer giving out the rings, apparently there was a list of 70 people who signed up at the beginning of the event and they are only giving them to those folks and then keeping everything else and selling them as set. That is what we call ????ed up. So I bought comics for the first time since BN 3 and didn't get my goddamn ring.

This was great, loved the GL 48 process and the legion of Lanterns in BN 5 and as someone wrote to me:

"We are so ????ed that not even Kung Fu Jesus can save us now".

I would say that is a perfect sum up of the DC Universe. I wonder though why Nekron commanded to "Die" instead of "Rise". It does seem important...of course now I want every single Black Lantern on that splash page. Which would require like 8 or 9 more waves. Got my Series 2 figures as well, love all of them except Indigo-1, very different than the proto to the point of embarrassing.

Anybody have an extra Black Lantern ring? lol

Incoming speculation and POSSIBLE SPOILERS below...

Okay guys. For everybody interested in Black Lantern Batman/Black Lantern Bruce Wayne and what may be the ultimate fate of the Bat in the DCU, I would go back and re-read Grant Morrison's FINAL CRISIS and pay attention to what Darkseid and his minions do to Bruce and what they were planning, i.e. Bat-Clones. I totally forgot all about this. Pay attention to the state of Bruce's cowl in issue #6 of FINAL CRISIS and also the last page of this issue when Superman is carrying Bruce's body. I speculate that Bruce's real corpse is safely stored in the Bat Bunker as revealed by ???? Grayson in the last issue of Batman & Robin issue #6. The body that was put in the grave and subsequently desecrated by Black Hand, was a clone. The skull that Black Hand has been carrying around isn't from the real Bruce Wayne. That's why Nekron severed the connection with the Black Lantern Batman so quickly. It was a clone all along.

Its also possible that despite there being a body in the grave whether its Bruce or not, it was enough to create the emotional connection that is blared out when they see the BL Batman. He also says "Bruce Wayne" with the quotations which indicates that even Nekron knew it wasn't Bruce but enough to distract the other heroes to get the rings on them and has nothing to do with Final Crisis other than Johns likes to nod the rest of the DC Universe instead of ignore it like other writers.
