Green Lantern---Blackest Night (Spoilers)

Wow! At least three more! Hawkman, Deadman, and Nekron himself! 
Plus there is still that mystery Wonder Woman in series 4 who must be a Black Lantern out of issue 5. Why else hide her?
And Black Hand is a lot different from the original Proto. He is in a black outfit instead of blue for one thing. Bruce's skull is also different. I think Firestorm is also different.
I think we need a new Sinestro though. I'm not sure what was up with the purple Leader head they came up with a few years ago. We need Hal too. Make him slightly different than the SDCC one (like a new sculpt?) and release him too.

did comics come out today as usual?
Nope. Thursday this week due to Thanksgiving last week. Why that delayed this week's comics is beyond me though. Would it kill them to send a day earlier?

that's what I thought. I called my LCS and for a sec I thought they were pulling my leg. dccomics.com lists Dec 2nd as release day. Oh well, waiting a day won't kill me.

Well DCD releases in fours so there is either one missing (probably RL Guy) or this is a sneak at two more waves...with the others missing for a reason.
I thought the same thing, take a look at the alternative pic posted, they are still hiding her but if you look under Hawkman, she is there:
I'm glad, the blue was pissing me off since that isn't his costuming in BL although the orange Aquaman shirt is still bugging me. Firestorm I think is the same but its been a while since I've seen the original solicit.
I'm surprised we haven't seen a new Sinestro but the "Leader" head was based on tying the modern look with the original look with the larger head. If you look at the Sinestro as a GL in wave 3, he has a massive head as well. As for Hal, Brewer made it seem at SDCC that the exclusives were the Hals for the line and that they were considering a re-release in a box set with some changes to differenciate but that original it wasn't thought. Unless Hal goes through some radical change I don't see another figure release because we've got the EVS Hal in the Superman/Batman line as well as in the GL line and Parallax done in the GL line.
I picked up the BN Flash and Wonderwoman mini-seires today. They both take place before BN #5 so that pisses me off a bit. Why can't they get these out at the right time? So these felt a bit wasted to me since we already know what has happened before these issues. Sure there is some more backstory, but it didn't really seem needed.
Back to those figures, interesting that they are hiding WW still. Especially with this WW issue saying "Next: Black Lantern Wonder Woman!" Not really much of a surprise anymore. And if anyone is afraid if getting spoiled by the figures, they should have already been caught up on BN if they are that worried.

Is the Wonderwoman worth buying?? I'm gonna go to the comic shop later today and I've been getting all of the BN tie-ins, but enough is enough. I can't keep buying them all--too much $$ and I'm not up to date on all the DC characters. I want the Flash because I've been reading the Flash Rebirth series and find it pretty good so far.

I DL'd the Wonder Woman and haven't read it but the boards seems to indicate its a very "meh" issue. The BL Flash has a good story although the beginning is obviously after the end of Rebirth which is annoying since number 6 isn't out until January so spoiler there and ties Barry to the event more but the art IMHO is horrific. Looks very elementary.

Like Mike said it's just "meh" when I finished reading it I though, "there was absolutely no point to that story". Save your money.

looks pretty good for a dead Wondy. BTW, everytime I see blackhand holding Bruce's skull, I want kick him in the nuts. I am going to frame the panel when Bats comes back and gets some payback for that one.

If there are no delays, Series 3 is due out in March (Arisia, Larfreeze, Aquaman and Star Sapphire) and Series 4 is due out in April (Wonder Woman, Black Hand, Kyle Rayner and Firestorm).
As for the new reveals, they haven't been officially announced so we don't know if its like Series 4 were those are the three new BLs announced as part of one wave or if those are reveals from the next two waves.
Someone over on the Corps boards has stated that their LCS told them that Series 1-4 are supposed to cover the first half of Blackest Night whereas Series 5-8 will cover the second half of Blackest Night. No one else has confirmed that as of yet.

I've been trying to hold off on reading BN until the graphic novels come out. But it's getting harder and harder. I'm so behind though that if I was to go out and get them all I'd need a check list. I'm dying to read Blackest Night!
