Well, you can tell yourself that since you have Cap, Hulk, Hawkeye, Black Widow in hand and Thor and Spidey on the way that your Avengers are complete so the only real way to keep yourself happy....is by buying an entire a set of the JLA

I don't know how I feel about the construct base. With the original and sinestro they were transparent almost. This base looks like it belongs more with one of the cartoon ghostbusters than it does with green lantern.

I actually like the base. I think it looks pretty cool. If I could just make 2 changes on this piece it would be to have a straight collar without the v slit and add some light up features to this piece. This PF is begging for a light up ring and/or lantern.

I think you might be right with the base. If they had kept these steps they're using but used translucent resin like on the first PF base but painted it the lighter green it is now and added a LED in the base, viola, perfection. I still like it but it could easily be improved with those changes.

This PF could have looked a bit better with some minor changes but it doesn't take away from the fact that this is still a great looking PF. If you need a GL PF for your collection, you can't go wrong with this piece. For me it's a little more involved. I don't need 2 GL PFs for my collection so if I did pick this new one up, I'd have to sell my OG PF. That's kind of hard for me to do. The EX construct, light up features, and classic costume are all elements I love about the OG PF. I'm on the fence with this new PF only because the museum pose does fit better with the JLA line up so I have some decisions to make.

I can't tell which of the two I like more, Green Lantern or Aquaman.

I think they are both way better than I imagined... can't wait to see Flash

but I recall that at the time, Igo said they wanted to make the Trinity in static poses and higher bases, while the others JL members on lower bases and action poses. With that picture in mind, there was absolutely no need for a GL2.0 and it was a very good art direction solution. Flash forward a pair of years, and they completely changed direction - so who's to blame here? People who complain and poor Sideshow that "can't win"? Or maybe it's the random art direction change and poor choice of character releases, furtherly crippled by longer and longere release times?
If they gave priority to the main JL characters and sticked to the initial plan, there would be no need at all for a GL2.0 and there would be no people complaining about GL not fitting with the Trinity, because they would already have in hand an action posed Aquaman and Flash. Instead, we're up to the umpteenth Batman and the umpteenth variant/recolor/alternative version that take time and resources from the main characters.

Like many others I didn't get the first GL because he was so way, way, way out of scale with the rest of the PFs. I think that's why we welcome this one and it's museum pose - it will be in scale and also thematically and posically (new word!) compatible with the other PFs.
