This is from Alex regarding the changes:

The color scheme for the forming stair construct was changed for the final production pieces. His portrait has been casted in a more translucent material to give him a more natural skin tone. I saw a sample recently and the base color and portrait (as well as the rest of him) look pretty darn awesome! I'm hoping customers that receive him will be very happy! Updated photos of the Green Lantern Premium Format Figure will be posted around mid-October.

I like this PF a lot. Still need to see accurate pics of the base, but if Alex says the base was changed then I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

Wish there was a Star Sapphire PF to go with this, tho.

Seen that one sell on the cheapish side (Reg) of late. I like the face sculpt on this one more than the original, but the overall piece on the first one is better to me. Neither one hit the mark though. There is something about the way his hips are positioned on this one that is a little bit feminine. I have kept circling around on the new one so that I could use my John Stewart head on my custom, but I just can't seem to warm up to it.

It's slightly concerning the lack of updates and production photos of this from SS... I have the EX on order and would have thought something would have been posted by now
