wow !!! just wow

i am goingto start by saying that those dam critics giving these movie 2/5 are completly retarded especially the guys from IGN.

this movie was spectacular and the only dissapointment is that it was too short.

My god wow what a ride that was.
I was on the edge of my seat the hole time.

I am filming my review for youtube soon.

I cant wait to go see it again and bring on part 2 as soon as possible.

I liked it the 3D didn't add anything though think I might go watch it again in 2D next week

I think people are trying so hard to make Green Lantern a Good film than it really is...the movie reminded me of Starwars- the phantom menace,Jim Carey's Mask, and 'Mask' starring Rocky Dennis. It wasn't Terrible, but I agree with some of the film critics and Word of mouth is not going to help it next week at the Box Office.

Want to know why this movie is a success for me?

I now want a HT GL and Sinestro :lol

I never imagined that I would ever want to own a Green Lantern in my collection, forget a Sinestro.

DC for me has only meant 3 things only.

1. CR Superman
2. 89 Batman
3. Nolan Batman

That's it, very limited when compared to my Marvel wants and needs.

But the movie was fun and Mark Strong was a bad ass!

Hot Toys can hardly Fail making Movie Figures if whether a Movie is Good or Not.There is no Doubt they'll knock a Hal Jordan out of the park.

I've heard that the Government doesn't want you to like Green Lantern.

I'm not trying hard at all. It was a good film to me. If others think differently thats cool.

I thought it was better than Nolan Batman TBH.*dodges bullets*

And a masterpiece compared to the crap fest that was Superman Returns.

We got back a couple of hours ago from watching Green Lantern and everyone I went with (girlfriend, her brother and a couple of friends) like it!

I enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed Thor and XM:FC. :D

I really enjoyed the special effects, which where spectacular IMO, and I think Ryan Reynolds did a fantastic job at portraying Hal Jordan/GL! :yess:

Sinestro, Tomar Re and Kilawog were cool to see but I do wish they had more screen time.

Hector Hammond was really creepy and made my GF feel "icky" (her words :lol).

I think Blake Lively did an okay job as Carol, not outstanding but okay.

I did enjoy seeing Tim Robbins(Sen. Hammond) get fried by Hector!

Overall I loved this movie! I give this movie an 8.5/10. :rock

I was surprised to see the showing nearly sold out for an early morning (10:00 AM) matinee. :)

Glad you enjoyed it snoop! This movie was pretty awesome for me. I think they did a really nice job of creating the origins story and making you interested in GL.

It was a really fun time at the movies! After seeing it we went to eat and talked about the movie and the comic book. :D

After we ate we went to Hastings and my friend bought the TPB of GL: Rebirth. :rock

I would've liked to have seen more action on Oa and more interaction from other Green Lanterns...but I guess we can see more of that in the sequel! :yess:

and I could care less :dunno why attack me because I dont think the Movie wasn't really all that?

Mainly because you've already made it well known that you didn't like the film yet you continue to hang out in this thread and continuing poking just for the sake of doing so. If you were engaging in actual conversation it'd be one thing but you haven't brought anything to the conversation except the same jokes over and over. So here is one of mine repeated:

Saw it for a second time today with my wife who vaguely knows about GL from me and my brother who has no clue about anything DC save Superman and Batman. Both really enjoyed the film but admitted that it wasn't perfect. My brother said he liked everything except for he felt it took too long for Hal to get his ring and that he wanted the training and fight sequences longer. My wife wished we got more time on Oa since that was the most visually striking of it all but enjoyed all the performance and even liked Blake Lively who she isn't really a fan of.

For me it was better than before because I wasn't sitting looking for things or trying to dissect the film, I just watched to watch and really let myself get into the basis of the film which follows every GL's fan's dream. One thing I did notice is though that upon second watching Reynolds felt a little less subdued. One opening night, he felt more wrangled in and while that still exists, the Reynolds gravitas and the way he delivers the lines seemed to stick out more on a second viewing that it did before, same with the way Lively delivered her lines which I didn't really mind. My brother likes Reynolds a lot so he loved it but I can see those who don't like Reynolds before entering into the film being put off.

Hector to the audience (half full at 10:55 AM in 3D) was less awe-inspiring than it was at midnight but Parallax brought more of a reaction especially during the final sequence

I'd see it again no problem if there wasn't so much still on tap.

Nice! Dad and I talked about the movie on the way home after our midnight showing.

I might pick up a TPB or two of GL at somepoint or get a sub in september when DC starts over.

Yeah, I would have liked to have seem more of the planet and interactions with other GL. Which I'm sure we'll get in the sequel since this was I think more about making you familiar with his origins.
