Exactly. Who knows how long that will take. I know there are a lot of Bat fans in the world but how many are willing to spend over $400 on a statue? I still wonder if SSC went overboard with the ES on the REGs.

Compare the EX edition sizes and sell out, like Harley and Ivy at 1500 each compared to Black Widow, Cyclops and Storms 500 or Gambits 750. Batman at 2000 and Superman at 2500 all sold out as well. What does Marvel have that's close to that?

My guess is, SS won't get all the 7.5k PFs from China (obviously) and stock them in their warehouse(s) in the States. Basis the demand forecast, maybe they'll get so much and then ask the folks in China to put that blue/yellow logo & change the belt & speedos on the rest of them. Selling all of them, eventually, in 1 or 2 years looks like not such a good business idea. Warehousing / stocking costs vis-à-vis the sales figures might define how long the black & grey Bats will stay up.

My guess is, SS won't get all the 7.5k PFs from China (obviously) and stock them in their warehouse(s) in the States. Basis the demand forecast, maybe they'll get so much and then ask the folks in China to put that blue/yellow logo & change the belt & speedos on the rest of them. Selling all of them, eventually, in 1 or 2 years looks like not such a good business idea. Very true. The only mentionable difference is timing. When SSC received the Marvel license, PFs were just getting started. Not as many collectors back then. I believe there are many more collectors today than there were back then. Also, a few of these Marvel PFs have been released multiple times. Just take a look at the Punisher. He's got 2 PFs and a COM. The more a character is revisited, there's a good chance that sales will suffer on the newer releases of said character.

May be part of it, but Black Widow came out after Ivy and the same time as Harley and is a 1st time Marvel PF, yet only 1/3 her DC counterparts.

Well, the REGs are still shipping out. There won't be 7500 statues to stock because some of these are already sold and just need to be shipped. The real question is how many remain after the REGs that were ordered are shipped out? 1000...2000...no one knows but SSC.
That's why I'm curious to see how long these will remain in stock. If the Bats PF starts becoming gift card eligible or remains in stock for years, then we'll know they made too many of them. If they sell out within a reasonable time, then SSC hit the nail on the head and got it right. Either way, I'm digging the hell out of my Bats PF. He looks incredible next to the Supes PF and I can't wait to display the WW PF with them.

I do not know if it would give us a picture, but I ordered a Reg. on Apr 24th and the number is in 1600s. Given all the replacements (Ex. & Reg.), this, that; I guess it will be quite some time before each one of them sells out. But, I honestly don't think he'll remain 'in-stock' for years. Kind of strange especially when SS (assumably) will be making more Bats (LSF, etc.) and this one would keep hanging around.
