well, it's official. i'm going out to buy a second copy of the game so Mrs. Mac can play too (she has her own 360).

i think she's tired of me telling her how badass this game is and wants to see for herself.

The PS3 does work but it won't play any cds, dvds or bds so it's totally useless. Hence dead.

And YES! GTA is most definitely to blame. My console crashed when I was playing so I switched it off and when I switched it back on, well, it would not play anything. Man I am so pissed!
GTAIV is a masterpiece and now I am going to have to wait a month to get a new system.

I am not getting the over the top response to this game. Its the same monotonous game as before. The graphics are better but thats not helping the game play. I have a feeling this will be for sale very shortly.

Whats there to get, its the same game that they have made for years with better graphics. I mean pretty much everyone says its the greatest game and its getting 10s, based on what? The graphics are nice but not groundbreaking, the game is basically the same as the original, nothing groundbreaking, story, if your looking for a good story pick up a book.

I know there are millions of nerds who want to be hardcore and this is there only chance to be that hardcore person.

i have never been a fan of any GTA game (from III through San Andreas), but for some reason this one has me hooked. the storyline makes me want to know what happens next to Niko.

it's cool you aren't into it, but just know it's not just the hardcore GTA nerds that are hooked.

i agree with the single player and the various MP modes, this is a 10 out of 10 (at least IMO).

I have to say that I think story mode is top notch. After that I have to say I get bored FAST with the multiplayer. I was really expecting or hoping for more with the multiplayer, but I just get bored to tears after just a few rounds.

The Story mode is as fun as the Vice City which I really liked and keeps ya going for hours. The MP was really fun tonight!! I enjoyed every bit of it especially pwning someone.

I'm not trying to be a dick. However, it seems to be that when most of us here are really into a game you hate on it. GOW and now GTA for sure.

As much as I hate to do this, I kinda have to agree with Kit on this. Story mode is f'n awesome...I'm totally loving it and doing a lot of extra side stuff....I think I've gotten laid by Michelle atleast 8 or 9 times now.... But MP was kinda weak. Granted tonight was my first time doing that, my headset wasn't working and I had no idea what was going on....but it just didn't do for me what GoW does.......maybe in time....but for now I think I'm just going to try and finish story mode.

Ummm, I think it's more what you can do and amount of time and effort Rockstar put into this game. All the little details really make it a living, breathing city.

Saying that it's the same game with better graphics could apply to any game over the years, MGS, Zelda, Halo, etc...Being stubborn about it isn't gonna to change the fact that it is truly a great game that you cannot appreciate. Are you trying to convince people that it sucks? Because it's not working, nor will it ever. Saying that millions of nerds play it to be "hardcore" is ridiculous.

Has nothing to do with that its just I don't like it. Sorry Al I read is OMG this is the greatest game etc... so I give it a shot and its exactly what I expected, same game as before. GOW was different that game was fun but got to the point I hated it. I don't hate this game its just boring and way over hyped IMO.

Want to bet on that? I hope so because you will lose. Take out the over the top violence of this game and I can guarantee that the sales drop by at least 30%, I would guess it would be closer to 50%. I am sorry that is the #1 appeal of this game.

No I haven't because I know it won't help. I know some people who had the same problem which comes from the optic lens. That sucks big time

But I might try it anyway.
