Has nothing to do with that its just I don't like it. Sorry Al I read is OMG this is the greatest game etc... so I give it a shot and its exactly what I expected, same game as before. GOW was different that game was fun but got to the point I hated it. I don't hate this game its just boring and way over hyped IMO.

Got ya. Just seemed odd to me in a way that you hated this game and GOW which are the two biggest games we all play. I realize not all of us are gonna like it but it was just something you said that stood out.

I will say I really do enjoy the racing in MP, but the running arounf and shooting gets old in about 2 min IMO. I don't know what it is, but even when I have a good round I just get bored. Maybe it because you can't go in and out of buildings and hide or that I don't like how the cover system works. it's just all of us im the street shooting each other every 3 seconds.

I probably had more fun when we where just running around shooting each other. Cause you can't just camp and snipe people you actually have to go get in the mix. Tends to fit my style of play I suppose. I liked the races too for that matter especially the motorcycles, and I think once I get the flying down I'll like the helicopters. For me I just wanna get in and have some fun with the guys/gals playing so its all good.

I still haven't gotten a multiplayer game going on my PS3, but I'm wondering if you guys have made any custom games in party mode as suggested in the 1up review?

During our marathon multiplayer test session, the developers shared one of their favorite custom games (they call it "King Kong") in the make-your-own-rules Free Mode. Here, a few rocket-launcher-packing daredevils perch themselves on Rotterdam Tower (Liberty City's version of the Empire State Building) while the rest hop into choppers and try to blast them off the building. It's just one example of the limitless game types inventive players can whip up in Free Mode -- once they get over the initial, human-nature impulse to start blasting as soon as the game starts with all 16 players in a circle.

I'm looking forward to giving diy games a go, but like I said earlier, I haven't been able to get a MP game going yet.

I just find it very repetitive. Stand in street, shoot, kill, die & respawn over and over. I'd rather sneak around a little, snipe someone or come up behind them and take them out. Hell, in this game you have to stab someone 10 times to kill them....ok, not really 10, but way too many IMO.

It's not a "bad" game at all and I love the fact there are so many different match types, but I really do find the death matches ( solo or team ) to be really, really boring and that's what most people like to play the most

I tried to get into MP last night but it kept kicking me back out. I am using the cell and choosing MP, player match, deathmatch. it says loading and then it say returning you to single player. Was ti down last night or do I need to do something first to be able to get in? Also how do you join a gang. The instruction book really wasn't helpful at all.

Oh I have the 360 version.

You don't buy GTA for multiplayer, you buy it for the SP mode. MP is for sure an added bonus though. I like it, it's no ghost recon though for MP. Even if this game had no MP at all i still wouldn't of thought twice about forking over the $ for it.(though future GTA games MP will only get better i'm sure, not that i have a problem with this one)That said, i'm having a blast with SP and MP.


I still have not seen probably 75% of what i still want to see in the city though, i will be playing this game into next year i believe.

I have yet to get online with GTA4, the story has kept me hooked on finishing it and to unlock the rest of the city. The wanted levels are even funner now, the police actually try to stop your ass this time.

Yeah, its not quite as sneaky killing people as GOW. I personally still found ways to sneak around and take some folks out. Though, I can see where it could get old for some.

I'm game for whatever everyone wants to do but I'm sure I'll find a few that aren't my cup of tea. So again I do understand.

Part of my issue may be that Iam just burned out on shooters too. I mean I still love Gears, but after Halo, COD4, Gears, Vegas 2 and now GTA4 I am just tired of shooters ( except Gears ).

That's where I'm at with most sports games. I played so many growing up that I like the break away from them.

No. none of the good stuff. Most stuff like that from the previous 3 games have been taken out. I'm really sad because I wanted to buy a Penthouse overlooking Middle Park (Central Park).

So what did you do, or what did you hear was done? Do you go to the player model in your cell for MP and just press L1 and your character changes into a zombie or is there more to it?
