Meh i liked xmen and captain america way better. In my opinion of course. planet of the apes and godzilla are also on my top 5. Transformers was just that fun summer movie. Spider man was a huge disappointment for me even though I didnt think it was a bad movie and tmnt was just "EH". GOTG is my number third best summer movie.

I pretty much despise all super hero movies. I especially hate all Batman movies and the Avengers, but GotG is a great movie. I knew nothing about going in, but after seeing it, I'm a huge fan of it. It's just perfectly balanced, cool, and fun. It came off to me like a modern Star Wars, but of characters before A New Hope, with others taking on different avatars.

Star Lord - young Han Solo
Gamora - Princess Leia
Drax - Chewbacca
Groot - R2-D2
Rocket - C-3PO
Ronan - Darth Vader
Yondu - Boba Fett

I'm a huge Star Wars fan, but I saw the similarities immediately.
We'll anyway, it was the best movie I've seen in a long time, in this genre. I'll definitely see it again and buy the Blu-ray.

And for Drax and Rocket I find no similarities.

Maybe Rocket is part Han part Greedo? Or maybe Boba?

I know quite a few people who hated Drax, calling him stupid and worst character of the team...
I really dunno why.

Well, it's a really good team if the "worst" character is Drax

I'd say the weakest character was Gamora in my opinion, but still pretty good.

I like the way she's portrayed in the comics better, they took the badass notch down a bit in the movie.

Gamora was the most boring for sure.
But the movie has very little physical action so it's not her character's fault
