For him and us as well. i really want this film to be good. Behind Man of Steel it is my second most anticipated film of the year. Plus I hate Transplosions, so I really hope this does giant robots right.(no fart jokes, peeing robots, racist robots)

:lol:lol:lol:goodpost:

Yeah, I'm hoping it gives life to the kaiju/mech genre. Much the same way life is flowing for the superhero genre.

We've got this and the new Godzilla film on the horizon. If they both do poorly, we may not see another one for a while.

I know... I hope we see more... there's so many great Mecha and Kaiju characters out there...

There's strong rumors of a movie in the making!!

Giant monsters, still have the Ace up their sleeve in Cloverfield 2. All that film needs is for Abrams to say he wants to do it, and the studio will hand him a check.

No, no, no... I hate Cloverfield and hope they don't make another one... let PR and Godzilla do the work!

Mechs are hurting. The only game in town is Bay's Splosionbots. So if we hope to see new takes, or even see live action versions of Macrosse, Gundam, or Evangelion we need this to do well. I'll certainly do my part. I'm going to see this in IMAX(if it has it) and I will buy the prequel graphic novel(mainly for Alex Ross' art) So lets hope this movie is a success.

There's lot of Giant Robots that could have their own movie!!
If Bandai uses all of it's characters in a series of movies and a team-up one to pay off ala Avengers I would be very, very happy!

I remember this one from a few years back... I hope they make it!

Hoping we see an official trailer 2 in next few weeks.

After the WonderCon footage, I don't think they can top it off without getting TOO spoilery.

I personally like Cloverfield, but I'm not sure it's regarded very highly. I know There's a sequel dwelling out there somewhere in development purgatory, but since the first one didn't really give spark to more films of similar nature (Kaiju films) I don't have much hope for it to help.

Oh goodness, yes please :drool

I still think there's another killer Kaiju shot that could take our anticipation up a notch.

I don't know, I feel like he spoiled something showing Gypsy with her new Kaiju beaten toy... I may avoid all media for this one until it releases.

But then again another killer Kaiju shot would be NICE!!!!

probably a decade before anyone thinks about touching this, (If at all)

They need to find their niche again. This stuff has been popular for years, its kind of like superhero movies I think. Once someone finds the formula to cash in, we'll see alot more.

Godzilla will draw in a large crowd. I'm sure this will to due to the concept.

Most people have no idea what this is supposed to be. The concept draws no one but geeks like us.

I have this ******* friend who loved the Transformers movies, I told him to watch the trailer for Pacific Rim and he said "Idk man, I don't really like movies like that"

*******.

Though I asked another friend of mine if he had seen the trailer and he replied "Yeah, looks awesome. Charlie Hunnam is boss".

hrmmm

I asked my coworkers if they will be seeing PR.

They had no clue what the **** I was talking about. :lol

Same here. One guy referred to it as a bootleg Transformers. I blacked out from my anger stroke, and no one will tell me what happened after that.

I think they should release the Wondercon trailer as the next trailer. I think it could grab people. That trailer was awesome.

The only reason people want to see Transformers, is because they've heard of it before. That's what gets people in seats these days.

Everything is a Transformers clone to them because Transformers came first in their eyes.

It's a very shallow, but common way of thinking. Most people do not care about movies.

And people know Godzilla. Godzilla is an icon here in America, that movie will get seats for sure. This movie probably needs word of mouth like Avatar did. It looks insane tho.

That's amazing right, everyone knows Godzilla but they also immediately associate it with cheese.
